Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style

im surprised more players do not get their hands stepped on after they are tackled. every time i see a player do one of those moves where they jump over the pile or a down player, i just watch and wait to see if they ever come down, spikes first on a guys hand.

they never do. not once. the play probably happens 15 times a game, thats roughly 120 opportunities per NFL week. in the 20 or so years of watching the NFL, out of literally thousands of chances, i have never once see a guy get his hand stepped on by a cleat.

Just a thought maybe next year Rex Ryan will be our D-Coordinator

I think after a strong start as head coach the Jets haven't lived up to the hype recently, but if he becomes available after the season I'd take him in a heartbeat. He is an attacking d-coordinator who also runs a 3-4, which basically sounds like Haslett in a nutshell, but I think he'd be a good fit here, provided he is willing to make adjustments if his game plan fails.

New Orleans Saints' Jonathan Vilma meets with commissioner Roger Goodell - ESPN

Lol. You wanted evidence? Here you go. Not sure if what Vilma tweeted about G.Will being pressured to sign the document is true, but either way it looks like this fight isn't over.

Classic snitch argument. Personally I think the NFL needs more evidence but lets remember that there was obviously something going on. The players aren't nearly as innocent as they claim to be.

SO they didn't have this sworn testimony up until Friday?....LOLOL My god how bush league are these guys to strong arm Gregg Williams into signing this just so he can have a "possible" future in the NFL again. I without a doubt do not believe any testimony from Greg Williams. Certainly not at this point and under these circumstances.

Even if Gregg Williams does get another job in the NFL after this, he's signed his death warrant with players because now they know he's a snitch and probably would not play for him. I know I wouldn't.

Said it so long ago and I'm saying it again. I'm so glad that clown never got our HC position.

I think Gregg Williams signed his death warrant when he ran this bounty operation. He will never coach in the NFL, which is why I think this is credible. In the end, if Payton, Loomis, and Williams have all accepted responsibility, why should the players get away with this? Vilma needs to own up to his mistake period.

I don't VY is a bad guy, it just seems like he never grew up. In the end he's to blame and no one else.
