You'd think that'd be the logic after getting blown out by GB in the playoffs and giving up 48 points, but their line of thinking went

"If only we had another wideout, that way we could score more points against elite teams."

instead of:

"Boy we just gave up 48 points in the playoffs, maybe we should invest in defense."

I hope Roman Harper gets a ginormous fine for his bush league hit.

^me too. Really bad sportsmanship to take a cheap shot after your team got beat.

I'm going to "third" this. I don't know wtf he was thinking. A just punishment would be to lock him in a room with Steve Smith for 20 minutes. Dude obliterates teammates, can only imagine what he'd do with Harper's punk ass.

And since I live in CO I feel the need say something about Tebow. The fans here are like rabid minks wanting Tebow to start. Orton is the butt of all the jokes, and if Jesus Christ himself were to walk on and go under center, he would be booed. Tebow has big play ability but lacks fundamentals. Remind you of anyone? *cough*Tony Romo*cough*. I forsee the Broncos winning some good games on some insane plays. The thing to watch, however, will be whether or not he revels in it and accepts his role, or commits to the film room and being a better QB.
Romo actually has very sound mechanics. As physical specimen, he is one of the top dogs. But mentally, the dude just can't get it together. Oh, and Romo loves throwing picks to the right side. Chris Horton knows.

If anything, Tebow compares better with Michael Vick.

Yep,especially with the Texans already having lost Andre johnson for a while.Their recieving corp behind him is really weak and if they dont get their running game going again their in big trouble.Oakland was giving up all kinds of yards on the ground but they stuffed Houston.Same could go for Philly this week,we should be able to gouge them thru the run but Grossman doesnt scare anybody so I see them stuffing the box and forcing grossman to beat them

he was better in man when shutting down receivers but when he had a chance to come to the ball rather than have the ball come to him were the times that he got his few picks if I recall correctly

you'd also have to look at things like the safety play and whatnot to see if he's being put in a position to make less mistakes or reduce the cost of them

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

Merril Hodge just said on SC that the skins will win the EAST because they have the best defense and run game in the division

Williams has the 4th most sacks since being drafted, but somehow it still doesn't feel like he's lived up to expectations.

Anyone else feel this way?

Being on an typically irrelevant team in past years might have something to do with it.
