Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
We're never going to truly know who was first and who was second, unless Josh Harris says it publicly, and honestly I don't care, and no one should care as well.
Johnson may have been a favorite, but Keim said that it wasn't a situation where he was THE guy like it was with Peters. No team got a chance to make an offer on Johnson, and he stood up the team for the second interviews. MacDonald and Quinn had their interviews on the same week, and around the same days. Keim and others had reported that ownership's plan was to finish the interviews on Tuesday, and make a decision at the end of the week. They stuck to their plan. Again, people are going to want to create their exaggerated doom scenario in their head. But to me, they went with their plan, and got a HC they wanted. Anything we hear from the likes of Florio or all these other TMZ-like reporters, is clickbait to get fans riled up for nothing.

This is going to be the longest off-season possible. Ultimate blue-balls until Week 1.

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
Might as well get used to half the fans like the hire and other half don't ..every loss next year will be I told you so .. wins the same!!
My biggest question is WHY were we so enamored with Johnson to begin with ?? Yea he seemed like a young bright Offensive guy but with NO head coach experience how was that ever gonna work without huge risks.. I'm beginning to believe that We in fact were not sold on him 100% and it was all media driven! If we were so set on him why was the other candidates all Defense guys ? Why didn't we have a backup plan for Another offense candidate? Glenn was D,Weaver was D .. other than Johnson was there another Offense guy we were interested in .. Let's see Johnson was O , McDonald,Glenn,Weaver,Quinn all D that doesn't sound like we were all in on an Offense coach to me ! Read into it what you want but it could be a clue or omen that we are not gonna go QB at the number Two spot... IF we don't are all you guys that are saying we gotta trust the new regime still gonna be good with that ? This should be interesting indeed.. |

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
Ruhskins Made a comment that is spot on .. he said "we got a head coach we wanted" NOT We got THE head coach we wanted ... huge difference! Yea Quinn's name was in the Mix from day one and it took several circumstances for him to end up as Head coach .. Johnson seems not ready and somewhat of a head case .. and MM just decided on seattle , We were still left with one of our top Choices! I tend to believe we dodged a bullett with Johnson He obviously is not ready for head coach and I'm glad he ain't here ! I'm on board with whatever they do and we will see ..

Good listen - ex-Seahawks LBer KJ Wright on Dan Quinn. I like some of his suggestions like Quinn should still be the defensive playcaller. All the hot new HC's mostly still do the things that got them the job in the first place, like Kyle S, Matt Lafleur, Sean McVay, etc.
