SmootSmack said Helu's injury status is bad enough he won't be able to contribute, but I can't imagine we'd cut him so I'm hoping IR. I think Hightower is likely to start because of his leadership. Morris should be next and then Royster but it sounds like the coaches think otherwise?

I love seeing 5.9 YPC.

Check his game log last season. How can you not love that?

Garçon is a huge upgrade over gaffney, younger and more potential. Also he had a better statistical year last year with a shitty QB. Idk why everyone here is so concerned with the money part of the organization, Bruce Allen can make things work and if there is a big time receiver out there next year I have no doubt we can sign him or any other player we want. I can't recall a time when there was a big time FA out there that we wanted that we couldn't get bc of our salary cap

Garcon will be one of the top WRs in the NFC this season. He and RGIII will start connecting on those 60-yard bombs they were trying on Saturday. The timing will come. As we saw on the first TD against the Bills, Garcon is dangerous on screens too.

I agree. He should have an extremely strong season.

I hope the coaches decide to keep Dezmon Briscoe. He's a definite red zone threat.

Apparently Barnes made the comment earlier that the DB pecking order came down to who plays special teams which may indicate they are looking to keep an extra DB who plays ST so they can keep Briscoe who doesn't.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Briscoe's a lock.

If Briscoe's a lock (which I think is a good thing), that seems to me to round out the WR position:
Garcon
Moss
Hankerson
Morgan
Briscoe

Leaving one spot for Robinson, Austin, Banks and Anderson to fight over. Gotta think they are leaning to Robinson.

That is, of course, unless the Pats cut Gaffney, in which case we sign him and ....
championship!!!

I just hope it's not Banks.

I think it's Robinson. Gotta say, if he does make the roster that will be a great turnaround from last season, where I was unimpressed by him in the preseason. All he did was muff two punts and not do anything as a wideout. Still, I haven't seen him fill in as a returner this preseason though, so we'll see if they think he's a suitable replacement for Banks. I love the playmaking potential Banks brings to the team as a returner, but he's too small to make it as a wideout in the NFL.

According to TK, Robinson is a lock. Then again, they were wrong about J. Brown being cut...lol

Re: 2012 53 man Roster predictions

Regardless, as a group, I am very happy with the improvement from last year. To me, in his limited appearances, Garcon has been all that was expected. In addition, he seems to have formed a connection with Griff which has the potential to be very good for both of them.

[For those concerned about Garcon's speed - he seems to play fast enough. He got behind the defense at least once and maybe twice in the Colt's game. Remember, Jerry Rice wasn't a big "measurables" guy, certainly no burner, and he seemed to do okay. On the other hand, D. Stallworth, who was all about speed, never amounted to much.]

I like the group (with Robinson in the 6th slot) a lot. I believe it will be a huge, huge improvement over last year's group.

Morris is young snd healthy and ready to run. He must be filled with desire being as though he was passed over so many times and comes from a small school. I say give him the rock.
