Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
What will Peters and Harris' role be in hiring the coordinators does that fall exclusively under the purview of Quinn?

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
Hopefully Harris' role was simply to set the budge for staffing hires, then get out of the way. If any more money is possibly needed, then run it up the flag-pole. Otherwise, hopefully he isn't part of the process. Peters and Quinn can work together on that.

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
If Harris, after hiring Peters and Quinn, has a strong role in hiring coordinators, that would be a red flag.

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
It’s possible the best move Peters has made so far is not pushing all the chips in on Ben Johnson. The admiring profile of Johnson that someone posted a week or two ago, if you read it carefully, was really all about the success of Campbell-Johnson, not Johnson alone.

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
The more I read and as info comes out it really sounds like we dodged a bullet with Johnson . All along my pick to Head the team was never an inexperienced Young Coordinator ( Vrabel was my choice ) Quinn is the same type as Vrabel . Seems Quinn Wanted to be here! the fact the Quinn got a DC makes it even better !! Blessing in disguise so to speak ! I totally got caught up in the Negativity of the Quinn hire ( they are melting down on bleacher report) lot of guys spin it that we got fleeced and was left with our last choice .. that is not true, he was always in the top running. The number one priority is leadership and he has it ! Now to see where they go on O ..

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
CBS Sports graded the hiring of Dan Quinn a D+. That was an unwarranted insult IMO. Two egregious losses in his career have caused people to go overboard in their criticism of Quinn. How many of the coaches who were hired as HC in this cycle have taken a team to the Super Bowl as a HC? I admit that I'm not jumping for joy with this hire but I'm not about to insult the man or the people who hired him. Let's give him a chance to succeed here. Meanwhile, Peters can load up on talent.

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
For those who are concerned that it looks like we settled, the reality is that we don’t know. But I’ll say this - Peters has a record that speaks for itself, and to me, this feels like being excited about buying a specific car but making sure to test drive other vehicles to help either validate your choice or see if you can be pleasantly surprised to go in another direction. And not being driven by FOMO seems like a better approach than the stupid random shit we’ve endured for the last quarter century. I’m in wait and see mode with a dash of optimism. We don’t have Snyder or any of the clowns he surrounded himself with.

Giants suck donkey-ass, until they play the Commandos, then they're the best team in the NFL.

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn
as for OC . . . I think the OC will come from the 49ers staff . . . either Kubiak or the TE coach Brian Fleury . . . Fleury would be my first choice as he knows that run blocking scheme very well and has risen up their coaching tree quickly. Is considered EXTREMELY bright and an up n comer!!
