I’d give Za Darius Smith a call tonight tho

Or Jared Ivey? Must be Isaiah Bond shit going on with him.

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT

Seems like we went BPA all the way, which is what I love. I'm not sure if I would have drafted Lane in 4th rd just for punt return skills though but then we haven't had a good returner for the last few years so might as well as fill in the need sooner than later.

Jacory is an interesting story, I think it's fair to assume that he would have been drafted a little bit higher if he played last year.

If Lane doesn't lose any punts this year, I will be OK w/ the pick. That was probably the one pick I was the least excited about. But he didn't have good QB play at VT, so he could also be more productive with Daniels than his stats reflected last season at Tech.

I'm bummed that Jack Sawyer went a few picks ahead of us in the 4th. He just seemed like a Commander. But it wasn't meant to be.

I see this draft as being all about speed, smarts, and coachable upside.

Tend to agree with this take, but I think I struggle to award an A-, for me its a solid B, probably B+. The single biggest need wasn't addressed and while I know AP has a BPA philosophy, and reinforcing the OL makes total sense (protect your #1 asset), we're in a division with teams where DL is very important. We'll be facing Barkley and Skattebo in 4 games next year, and a number of mobile QB's. Be interesting to see how he looks at UDFA's and the remaining FA DL out there.

But I can definitely live with the selections he did make. Connerly and Amos should contribute immediately, and Lane will likely contribute in the return game immediately, then in the passing game as he works his way in as hopefully an upgrade over Dyami Brown. The last 2 guys could be sleepers.

honestly this year its the year for Ben S and Luke M to step up ; they should have a impact this year on the team much more so then last year

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT

missed on getting edge, but it's a B+ or better from me. I like that we have adults running things. OL and CB should be much better this year. RB is a fast cut guy, so that's a good scheme fit if he can play.

next year is probably LB+DE and maybe RB/TE depending on if someone steps up (since ertz and wagner will probably age out pretty soon). I was a bit surprised Ben S couldn't figure out a way onto the field last year. Seemed promising as a prospect (and yes, there's still time).

Truthfully, those 6th/7th round picks will be lucky to make the squad so I really don't judge by those picks. Special teams players unless we get some lucky production from the RB.
yeah . . . our 7th round RB will be our starting back by years end!!

The coaches said that the lack of playing time for Sinnott was more about Ertz being more productive than expected than it was about Sinnott's play. I would bet that we will see Sinnott more this year.

I hope this is the case. Sinnott has wheels and is a great athlete. I would like to see him get a lot more opportunities this year. I also wouldn't mind seeing the 2 te set if Kingsbury would run it.

You can do a lot of things in life, one of those things you can’t do is feel bad for SHEdeur Sanders

He reminds me of Isaiah Pachenco as far as his legs never stopping and being more elusive than expected.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Re: 2025 NFL DRAFT

WR Jaylin Lane ran a 4.34 40-yard dash to go with a 40-inch vertical and 11-foot broad jump. All three numbers were among the best for a wide receiver at combine.

And the film suggests he didn't exactly have a great QB play supporting him in college. he's fast, 'small' and elusive. Slot WR? If McCaffrey steps up this year and Lane can have an impact Daniels should have all the weapons he needs.

Pachecho is an absolute beast and one of the hardest running rbs in the league. Love this comp.
