Mike Jones ‏@MikeJonesWaPo
I'm told Doughty, Gomes have also made team. Skins keeping 4 CBs, six safeties. Helps Meriweather, T. Jackson, Gomes played CB in college.

I'm with you on that one. Get ready for another season of him not returning any kicks or punts for TDs and fumbling in close games.

Agree. I also understand why some think he should be cut, I just dont understand their logic. Our staff values Banks more than the last receiver. Banks is on the field contributing. The last receiver on the depth chart is not.

Cutting or trading Aldrick Robinson is move that they will end up regretting...

Dang, that means I have to restart my Madden 13 connected careers, because Hightower is the starter on Madden! LOL.

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread

Why would we deal Hightower?

He's apparently healthy again or very close to being, while Helu and Royster are not. We've cut Tristan Davis, so this would leave us with ONE healthy RB and he's a rookie.

I don't believe it. We just re-signed him and I thought Mike Shanahan loved him.

Unless we're bringing someone else in...I keep going back to Ryan Grant who we've been reportedly watching for a while...I don't think we could get away with making this move. Grant would be a big downgrade from Tim too.

More importantly, Hightower is the best pass-blocking RB we've had since Portis. Griffin needs him more for that than gaining yardage.

Apparently his little setback yesterday was not so little. Even if he stays he likely might miss the first couple of weeks

But that's just speculation at the moment. Crazy day of rumors

I like him too, perhaps it is because of the competition at WR/LB or possibly the need for a backup CB.
