^ Including a double!

I miss the days when pitchers could actually hit...you know, back in the Bob Gibson days.

I know the Nats' page got hacked too, it said something about them moving back to Montreal. That's pretty funny.

Worst MLB contracts are obvious when players can't be moved through waivers or a trade - Yahoo! Sports

Still don't understand why teams sign these guys to contracts like these. It's why I say that Dan Snyder couldn't hold a candle to dumb contracts when compared to MLB owners.

San Francisco Giants' Melky Cabrera launched fake website in ruse, report says - ESPN

WHAT!

"The purpose was to fool MLB and the players' union, while presenting them with the website and resulting phony product information, into believing Cabrera had ordered a supplement fraudulently spiked with testosterone, therefore causing the positive drug test, the report says."

Lol...

New York Yankees' Joe Girardi heckled by fan at postgame news conference - ESPN New York

Quote:
"Hey, Girardi, you bum! The Yankees suck!"

Quote:
Because suddenly, there was Girardi breaking out of the pack, leaving a YES Network camera crew shooting his back and a gang of reporters watching in bemused disbelief, and shouting at the top of his lungs at a total stranger on his way out of the ballpark.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Shut up! I'm doing an interview!" he said.

Then Girardi turned to a stadium security guard. "Do something, would you? Shut this guy up." "Yeah, kick me out!" the fan said, laughing as he headed out the door.

"Jesus, for crying out loud," Girardi muttered as he headed back into the media scrum.

Redemption and a great story. I still remember that guy almost breaking down after he ruined that perfect game.

Re: MLB 2012 (random postings/events)

Insane deal. The Dodgers were a contender BEFORE adding these guys. A-Gonz hit a HR in his first AB with the Dodgers too.

I really love to see the complete implosion of the Red Sox. Hopefully they'll go back for another 86-year drought. Their fans are unbearable when they're winning.

I just looked up their new roster. What a lineup:

Shane Victorino
Nick Punto
Matt Kemp
Adrian Gonzalez
Hanley Ramirez
Andre Ethier
Luis Cruz
A.J. Ellis

Plus Carll Crowford on DL fr next year?

Solid bench with Adam Kennedy, Juan Uribe, Juan Rivera.

Starters:
Kershaw, Backett, Capuano, Harang, Billingsley (DL), Lilly, Blanton
