On the fake injury incident. I wonder if it is feasible under the new CBA to have a league "medical referee" on each sideline. Basically the MR would certify roster health before and after the game, and conduct an onspot triage analysis when players are injured in game. I don't think penalties could be called in game, but the league could have a system of warning, fines and other penalties if a pattern of deceit is found.
