Bulger also might be a decent veteran option but I'd like to see a rookie with a reclamation project. Either our very own John Beck or Alex Smith. Marc Bulger if they want another veteran because Palmer is going to be looking for a decent chunk of change coming off a $100 million contract, not to mention all but a guarantee to start.

I just dont trust Smith, he reminds me of Ramsey imo.. We might as well keep Rex if thats the case.

McNabb says he wants to stay in WSH..

I'm not buying it

NFL.com news: Benching upsets McNabb, but he wants to return to Redskins

I'm going to have to throw a flag on this one. Personal foul. Bull S#!++ing the passer. 15 yard penalty. 4th Down.

Yeah Carson Palmer not = stellar this year. I still like Orton, you know Denver is going to go with Denver's version of Pineapple Jesus, Gator Jesus.

Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?

I think this is the draft for getting our quarterback. I dont think luck will fall to us with out some serious dealing, and i am not sold on locker yet, he is really hit or miss. I like Ryan Mallet a lot and same with Cam Newton. Either could make a nice upgrade day one, if we rebuild the team well. If we could trade down for mallet or locker it would be amazing.

2011 Draft
Newton/Mallet/Locker
Round 2: Best WR/ D-Lineman/ Center on the board
Other Needs: CB, RT, Fullback

Any idea what we could get for cooley? Unfortunately my thinking is that by the time we are ready to be a winning team, he is going to be past his prime, so we should look to deal him when he still has some value. I would love to keep him, but if the trade value works i'm in.

Palmer - No thanks.
Houston will not be trading Schaub. Why would they?
Smith - No thanks.
Clausen trade scenario is awful.

I am thinking Rex or McNabb are back next year, and a rookie is in the draft to sit and learn.

McNabb will not be back next year. I can guarantee you that. At least, that's what Shanny told me. :cheeky-sm

I think it will be either Rex or Orton. Think about it this way, if you get Orton and he does well, after you have your draft pick ready to take over you can trade him for some draft picks or a good established player.

Maybe they'll get a crazy a$$ coach that would want to get rid of him, the way McD got rid of Cutler.
