Who the hell is Sidney Rice. He is the number 2 reciever in football, he is headed to the probowl. Last year he had 141 yards, now thew 11 games he has almost a thousand. Oh, maybe Farve has something to do with that. |

I would love to see what JC could do with some good protection.

I would too. It's a miracle we're even close in these games. What would we look like with an NFL standard o-line? Is it possible we could be really good?

He has a legend throwing him the ball. It's not really a shocking when QB's like Manning and Favre turn receivers like Rice and Garcon into studs.

Re: Still Encouraged; Still Love My Skins: Bright Spots
Of course, I'm not serious... Or am I? Yes, it didn't take long for Brett Favre and Sidney Rice to develop chemistry.. Nor for Peyton Manning and with the rookie receivers.. Nor for some other players.. But the fact is Campbell is not those QBs, and our receivers are not those other receivers.. Everyone plays different in their own ways..
Just like Matty said, I also would love to see what Campbell can do with good protection.. The fact remains that we do not have luxury to revamp everything on offense, except for receivers part.. We can't afford to draft a QB next off-season; Campbell will be there for us to use, so we can spend drafts on O-line men and a RB.. If Campbell doesn't work out next year with the protection we can give him, then you can count me in bandwagon to run Campbell out from Redskins.. |

Re: Still Encouraged; Still Love My Skins: Bright Spots
I'm just trying to make a point, since we have so many positions that needs to be filled in through draft and maybe free agency.. Although we might not be able to depend on Campbell and our receivers to win games for us; but the fact remains that we do not have luxury to replace QB or receivers in off-season.. Campbell and the receivers are developing rapport, we might as well try it out and see what happens..

And not to mention the Vikings have one of the best offense linemen.. Favre always had have all day to throw balls. Which is not something we all can say same thing for Campbell and Redskins offense linemen..

Re: Still Encouraged; Still Love My Skins: Bright Spots
My biggest bright spot is that despite the injuries, bad breaks, etc., these players are not quitting -- and they're not quitting on each other. Check out the video of Campbell and Williams: Zorn, Redskins Try to Stay Focused Amid Uncertainty. They've obviously got a lot of regard for each other, which you can see through the joking around. There's a core group of guys that seem to want to play hard because they're professionals and because they're a team, and we need to focus our offseason in keeping those guys around.

Re: Still Encouraged; Still Love My Skins: Bright Spots
I'm gonna beat this dead horse a little more. If we can't bring in a Shanahan and Co. (which I'm still indifferent towards), and if Zorn can finish reasonably well, I see nothing wrong with bringing him back for another year.

Zorn seems to be over his head though. I don't think he should come back. |
