New GM and a new staff will have loyalties to putting the best players on the field. Just because you drafted a QB in the top 10 doesn't mean he is going to give you the best chance of winning game 1. See Trey Lance.

The new GM will watch meticulous film of Sam before any decision is made.......I don't see any commitment Sam either.....which means the new GM would attain a starting QB through the draft, free agency, or a trade.....we'll see what happens.
