Thanks. There goes that hope down the drain.

There was some speculation on this last year that Bruce Allen was going to buy some or all of the minority shares, and basically own the team along with Snyder. Now obviously it didn't come to fruition but it was being considered at one point, if you can believe the rumors.

The situation with the minority owners and the NFL forcing Snyder out seems to be gaining traction. This would be amazing if true. Getting Snyder out of this organization would probably be the best thing that ever happened in NFL history.

Interesting.

Possibly seeing NFL revenues taking a serious hit this year ... and maybe cashing out on the high of a name change is too enticing to pass up.

They may have to ride out the revenue losses the NFL is sure to sustain in the short term, for a while. Which may be too long for them to want to ride out.

I don't see this impacting the Skins any though. As far as play on the field.

Wait a second ...

Should we really be calling them "minority owners"??

I mean ... that can be taken so many ways. And not many of those ways are really ... good.

We are trying to be a non-offensive franchise now, right?

Oh stop man. Stop trying to act like social inequality is a joke. It is getting old.
People are fighting for respect, dignity, and equality. But every time I turn around someone on this page is acting like it has no actual basis in fact. “Whats next eagles are going to be offended “ ? All that bullshit as if social inequality is a hoax. I mean I honestly can not wrap my head around the lack of understanding coming from so many posters on here. The willingness to down play it and act like we are the victims because our football team is going to change names. It is sickening.

Re: Minority Owners of the Skins Want Out.

According to Kevin Sheehan, it is possible that the minority owners and the NFL could force Snyder to sell his majority ownership...so this could be big. I hate losing the Redskins name, but if it came with getting Snyder out, it would be worth it.

Dan's going to fight tooth, and nail to try to keep the team.

I haven't listened to that episode but it sounds like the podcast version of clickbait.

Re: Minority Owners of the Skins Want Out.

Listening to Sheehan right now, it's an interesting point. If the minority owners can't find someone to buy in plan B could be to buy out Snyder. Or maybe it's plan A, a coup basically. Very interesting.

Michael Wilbon says he won't be surprised if Dan Snyder is forced to sell Redskins

I listened to him on the Fan yesterday and he was mostly spewing BS.

Went on about how horrible the Redskin name is. Well, Michael Wilbon, if that is true, please tell us why you were a regular commentator on Redskins Report for years?

Re: Minority Owners of the Skins Want Out.

Jeff Bezos' name could surface given Redskins' fluid ownership situation
