Re: Media Bias
Well, was listening to Julie Mason and she had on an analyst involved in conducting the survey (don't remember the name) discussing this Presidential ranking poll and he actually hit my point about the poll being skewed and laughed about it and said yeah it was major factor for ranking the recent Presidents and likely will adjust in posterity (ie he thinks Obama will eventually drop back to his previous 16th ranking or even lower, while Reagan will move back into the top 10). Additionally, he doesn't think Trump, barring a 2d term, will move up much, if at all, as even the conservatives in the survey ranked him pretty low. If Trump does get a 2d term then the opportunity would exist to move up from the bottom dwellers.

Re: Media Bias
So, I read this last week and has since been picked up by other media outlets and spread over the past week. It really doesn't tell us anything most already don't know (although libs will deny this is story is accurate but I think yeah they know too).
This article is from an NPR editor. We'll see how long he lasts (He did wait to go public until after what appears to be the primary culprit (the former CEO) departed. I’ve Been at NPR for 25 Years. Here’s How We Lost America’s Trust. | The Free Press (thefp.com) https://www.thefp.com/p/npr-editor-h...americas-trust "Uri Berliner, a veteran at the public radio institution, says the network lost its way when it started telling listeners how to think...." |

Re: Media Bias
Washington Post maybe in its worst shape ever
Sally Buzbee lasted almost 3 year. Pretty embarrassing “We are losing large amounts of money. Your audience has halved in recent years. People are not reading your stuff. I can’t sugarcoat it anymore,” Lewis said. Democracy does in darkness….lololol how much until that is removed?

Re: Media Bias
This one is not so much bias, but this type of bullshit hyperbole in this story is becoming more and more common and it does sway people. This click bait MSN story's, from this morning, headline.
"Japan fires at Russian jets in its airspace as World War fears continue to escalate>" Problem is once you start reading the story it is revealed that no they didn't fire on the Russian Jets, they dropped flairs. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...993804f8&ei=57 |

Re: Media Bias
The thread is about Media Bias. The content of the interview will be in the Presidential thread.

Re: Media Bias
Fox News edited Trump’s rambling answers and false claims in barbershop interview, full video shows
https://news.yahoo.com/finance/news/...122942138.html Trump’s complaints about “60 Minutes” center on an edit of Harris’ comment about the relationship between Israel and the United States. He has charged that CBS manipulated the Harris interview to “make her look better” and demanded that CBS release the unedited transcript of the interview, which CBS has declined to do. The televised broadcast omitted Trump’s comments about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. He told the barbershop customers that “they just dumped 50,000 people — 32,000 migrants from another country — in Springfield, Ohio. They don’t know what to do.” The actual number of migrants in Springfield is far lower, according to the city’s own data. The broadcast also left out Trump’s gross exaggerations about crime in Aurora, Colorado. One of the most telling parts of the dialogue began when an audience member asked Trump about finding a way to eliminate federal taxes in the future. On Fox, Trump was shown immediately answering affirmatively: “There is a way.” But that response from Trump actually came more than seven minutes later, after Trump (and Jones) brought up other topics, including inheritances, the Keystone Pipeline, Ronald Reagan, Russia, and transgender sports players. Trump had to be nudged back on track several times by the unnamed audience member, who kept circling back, apologetically, and said “I wasn’t able to finish my question.” After he repeated his tax inquiry yet again, Trump said “there is a way.” In another unplayed portion of the visit, Trump praised Hungarian strongman Viktor Orban and called him a “very respected guy.” That exchange underscored Trump’s tendency to favor autocratic leaders, but Fox decided not to share it with viewers.

Re: Media Bias
Second time an Owner has stepped in , so much for the Free Press.
LA Times Owner did the same thing. https://news.yahoo.com/news/washingt...165313408.html Washington Post Erupts in Civil War As Jeff Bezos Censors Its Kamala Harris Endorsement. His move was revealed by the newspaper’s own reporters—as one of its star writers, policy expert Robert Kagan, quit and its legendary former editor Marty Baron erupted in rage. The billionaire Amazon founder stopped the publication of an endorsement of the Democratic candidate which its editorial board had already written, the paper reported. Within hours Kagan, a veteran editor-at-large quit in disgust, Semafor reported. The dramatic move was called “cowardice” by its Pulitzer Prize-winning ex-editor, Baron. One of the paper’s star reporters, Ashley Parker, called it “a new type of October Surprise.” The sudden move 11 days before the election caused shockwaves, and came despite the paper endorsing local candidates. It plunges The Washington Post into the same kind of civil war which is already engulfing The Los Angeles Times whose billionaire owner also stopped a Harris endorsement.

MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, fierce critics of President-elect Donald Trump, say they traveled to Mar-a-Lago for a meeting with him to reopen lines of communication that would better serve their morning show viewers. Lololololol…how fuckin delicious is this? Lololololol I guess they have no problem traveling down to kiss the ring in total fear of ratings collapse. I thought Trump was Hiltler who would have them arrested and thrown in jail if elected again? Lolololololol lolololol and they went to visit him? Lololololololol

Re: Media Bias
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/14/b...ettlement.html
ABC News is set to pay $15 million to settle a defamation lawsuit brought by Donald J. Trump. “ABC News and George Stephanopoulos regret statements regarding President Donald J. Trump made during an interview by George Stephanopoulos with Rep. Nancy Mace on ABC’s This Week on March 10, 2024.” Never found liable of rape, that is misinformation.
