Re: Around the NFL Week 6

He pretty much reiterated what he's said all along. It was the right choice given the circumstances and it's worked out great for both sides.

Good to see Rivers playing at a high level again too. I've always thought these last couple of years he was getting the shaft a bit by people thinking he was done or overrated. The entire team was in decline around him. Now they've got some nice weapons around him to work with, and Gates is healthy again.

What I saw all over the field last night was balance. An ego-less team(tough to say with Rivers on the field) that was patient and poised. They ran their offense about as smooth as I seen, with very long drives, that ate a ton of clock. Play calling about as perfect and their Oline is very ordinary. Defense was attacking, but not really crazy aggressive. Everyone manned up and won individual battles and hit the QB a nice amount of times.

Felt like I was watching NFC east football from the 80s and 90s. It was refreshing.

Looks like the Pats lost Mayo for the season.

Wilfork & Mayo out, Talib banged up, Amendola out (again), Gronk still out, and they're still 5-1.
