Oh man...i would love to see everyone on staff leave when if he doesnt listen to anyone else and does what he wants.
I mean...i wouldnt be happy...but i would love to see someone basically tell him to go get fucked. that would be perfect.

I mean, I hope they do make a "splash". Whatever it takes to get the Franchise guy in here. Doesn't mean DS is making the decision. Everyone knows the team needs a QB, and that another year of Fitz/Heinicke/Allen - like production isn't going to cut it.

Go big.

i agree...its def an area we need. But if I know anything from the last 22 years, its that he is a terrible talent evaluator, and absolutely overspends on his "big splashes".
I absolutely 100% do not beleive he can make the correct choice when it comes to any position on the field, and especially at the quarterback position.
The only person that has had any type of success here has been the person that he was against picking (cousins).

as far as go big...i agree. but snyder has shown a level of ineptitude that is rarely seen. You would think, statistically, that he would have to have gotten it correct at least once. but he hasnt. its a true anomaly. so when you say go big, i agree....but i also dont want to see him spend 5 first rounds to seattle for wilson, or something else.
He is entirely too good at auctioning our future away when he becomes enamored with a player.

Yeah Yeah - we are all suffering.

While I think DS will be "involved", because he is the owner, I really don't think he is going to make the decision. History of course is not on my side in that thinking, but I'm choosing to be optimistic.

My point was really that just because someone says "I think it's more than just football people that are pushing for a QB", doesn't mean they are talking about DS. It just means that literally everyone knows that the team needs a QB.

I’d say go big, but you can’t go stupid. And if you see “go stupid” then you know DS was involved

When I hear “make a splash” that’s all Dan Snyder

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1

The concern is if there are 2 QBs available at No. 11 (could apply to any round really), and the staff wants 1 guy and Snyder wants the other guy, Snyder will once again force his will on the pick. And because he is the devil's grundle, that choice will suck.

We absolutely should make a splash at QB, but a splash that is made by Rivera and Co., with no input from Snyder.

I hope we can get Corral or Howell at 11. I don't trust glove-hand luke.

Well, we have no future without a QB. Go big doesn't mean be unreasonably stupid about what you pay, but the fact is, they're going to have to "overpay" whether it's in free agency, via trade, or in the draft. Nobody is going to come here on a discount, and there are enough teams that need a QB to drive the market up more than it "should be".

Go big.

Agree totally...just worries me that non football people (snyder likely) are getting more involved. His definition of going big, and ours are totally different. theres overpaying, then theres snyders type of overpaying.

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1

People need to realize that the price to acquire a QB (trade value, contract, etc., etc.) is inflated in the NFL.

Also, this tweet is on point:

@RedskinsCult
·

Some fans crack me up

Me: “we need a new QB”
Fans: “yeah!”
“We need to trade for a vet”
“Agree! We need a vet”
“Ok Carr”
“No he’d cost too much & isn’t elite”
“Ok Rodgers”
“Too old”
“Russell Wilson?”
“Eh too much and coming off a down year…”

People who say they wouldn't want Russell Wilson are absolutely insane.

i worry about his overall health and level of play as he keeps getting older with the play style. Arm is still there.. brain is still there.. but at what cost for someone who inevitablely going to decline in maybe 2-3 years? To me he shows up as a win now signing and i have zero confidence in this team Cureently having enough weapons, talent and coaching to win now.

Those are the reasons that hold me back from being hyped if we spent 2 1's on him.

Wilson is clearly evolving his game, now that he may not be as mobile as he used to be before. What people don't understand is how piss-poor the Seattle offensive line has been in Wilson's time.

And for people that don't think we can win with Russ, let's look at this past season. We had 6 games that we lost by a TD or less. You don't think we win those games with a huge upgrade at QB? That's a 13-4 record right there.

Russell Wilson should have been our QB instead of RGIII, if we can get him I’m all for it. Just don’t get ripped off.
