Not the players somebody else wanted. What I see so far is they are picking up Dan Quinn’s and his staff’s type of player. Plus they added veteran leaders like Bobby Wagner to help teach Dan Quinn’s system to the many young guys coming in from the draft. That is so important. |

![]() You can argue that 1-4 are borderline bust. TLaw hasn’t lived up to his hype at all. I’d probably say 7 of these 32 picks are legit really good players The draft is a crap shoot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So yes, take your best shot with the No. 2 pick and hope to get your Franchise QB. Do not risk trading away the farm to move up to No. 1 only to be disappointed. |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Yes , I was referring more to Wilson and Lance at #2 and #3. Obviously Lawrence had a lot of games at a major school, Fields went to Ohio state, but had limited starting to 1 year I think, unless I miss count when Haskins was drafted, and Mac Jones went to Alabama but only started one year.

Still, GM's must try while knowing they may never succeed in drafting one no matter how thoroughly they evaluate QB prospects. That's because some GM's do win the Franchise QB lottery. But having a great QB won't win you a Super Bowl unless you build a good team around him. So I think the best way for us to go in this draft is to take our best shot at drafting a great QB with the second pick in the draft and use the remaining picks to build the rest of the team. |

2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

There are six guys in the first column alone who are really good. Surtain has had injury issues but when he is there he is good. Pitts will have a breakout year with Cousins. There are probably 15-16 legit players from that round. Couple on shit teams or with injury issues but…. Yes it is a crap shoot to an extent but not completely. |

There's definitely a bunch of busts on there

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
TL is not a bust at all. A bust is RG3, Heath Shuler, Lance and Zach Wilson. He's a starting QB in the league but he just isn't one of the best. I never thought he was going to be great based off of in college he wasn't a pinpoint passer like Burrow became. Great athlete, and like I said, he is a starter but probably mid tier. He is tough as nails, I like TL, you can win w/ him.
I think Daniels will probably be similar to TL. I don't think he's going to be an elite starter, but perhaps a good to really good. I still stand by Michael Penix. He just has that "IT" factor when the ball comes off his huge hands. He needs a line. You gotta give him some deep threats.. I love the maturity, mental toughness and the elite arm. The Vikings should draft him. |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I prefer trading down to possibly in #5-7 range in the draft. I'm not sold on Daniels or Maye. I'd rather have Spencer Rattler (who I have a hunch will be a steal who'll be an early third round pick) than those two.
I'm sure we can find a trade partner within the top 7 picks and load up in '24 and '25 draft picks, respectively. |
