Now just think how different it would be if they had taken the points and gone for a field goal instead of trying to go for it at the 1 yard line. Would be a field goal game right now.

No it would be if the circumstances are right. You get three points instead of the 2 for the safety. If they tried the 2 point conversion on that last TD it would be 24-21.
