Re: Dockery coming back to Redskins

In my opinion this is the best move they made by far. Getting him at below the rate that Detroit offered makes it the perfect move.

Dockery adds size, youth, knowledge of the playbook and brings back a guy that we drafted. Great move by the FO.

Re: Dockery coming back to Redskins

I'm glad to get Dock back, But I belive Kendall had a solid year, Although younger is better. Maybe if Pete stays he can fight it out with Thomas at RG or share. Also I think Heyer did a good job in different positions along the line especially when Samuels went out. Might be a best to draft a center if theres one that's worth it.

I'm telling you, they get this guy and it could be a huge improvement on the OL. Forget Andre Smith, this guy has all the tangibles, mature, smart and very talented. He's a can't miss pick. Whoever gets him will be very glad they did.

Edit: Never mind I see.

It appears that way, the kid seems to stay in the play, all play, every play. That can make a huge difference if there's a fumble or something else goes screwy.

Theres no way Kendall is coming back, so don't get your hopes up. Heyer is a solid backup RT in this league, but thats it, meaning at 13 we should take Andre Smith if available but if not we trade down and draft an OLB (Mayban, Cushing).

While unlikely, I think there has to be some possibility that he would take less money to be a backup. I thought I read that he would like to stay here. He is definitely wearing down. Maybe he would prefer to finish up here with a reduced role as opposed to picking up and moving again for a bigger deal and full time workload. Plus the skins were fine giving him a day off every week to rest his knee. Would other teams let a free agent do that?

Re: Dockery coming back to Redskins

Great deal. This is the kind of deal we should have been offering to Hall, ideally.

Dockery plugs up the uncertainty on the left side now. Draft is weak at Guard, so this was pretty critical.

Have to add a Center and a Tackle in the draft now. We can wait like three weeks and still find a cost effective option at Center. The market is flooded at C this year, both in the draft and in free agency.

I don't think Hall would have taken a deal like Dock's. At the time Hall was the best FA corner available. The idiotic contract that the Raiders gave Asomugha is what made the deal so expensive. It was reported that other teams were interested in Hall. I bet he would have received the same deal from someone else if we had let him go. Taking it with a grain of salt but I thought that Vinny said someone offered him a little more than we did.

I would not be shocked if Springs gets a huge deal.

Thumbs up Re: Dockery coming back to Redskins

I purpose we pick up Andre Smith AND Alex Mack in the draft. Maybe if Mack falls to the 2nd, we will trade up to get him.

Re: Dockery coming back to Redskins

If we did that.......well that would be to good to be true. But we still need a OLB unless they think Blades or JT can handle it. Of course the FO seems to feel the draft is pretty deep at LB.

Oh c'mon 44, you even think JT could be the backup QB.
