We just grabbed 4 points in the past 20 or so hours. Great stuff. And now we get 4 in a row in the Phone Booth.

Anyone that didn't see the game tonight... needs to go to nhl.com and check it out.

Ovechkin with another "Youtube" goal last night. It will be sure to make the highlights this year...

I've run out of words to describe him, so someone else can try to do that...

We're riding a 3 game winning streak and play 8 of our next 9 in the phone booth. Great chance for us to make a big push on Boston for that #1 seed....

ROCK THAT RED!

Re: Washington Capitals 2008-2009 ongoing thread

Yes...for myself horrible prediction. The West has given us a fit. And yes even the Avs are a team you certainly can't overlook, as we must have OR just have laid an egg. And we should have kicked there butt.

Great opportunity blown. I missed the game went to cut the DVR on and somehow it started at the end of the game.....I saw 4-1 and hit the erase button. Just got in from a party, maybe thats the reason we couldn't geter done.....yea right!

We MUST rebound Sunday vs. the pens...I'll be there for that one!!!

Lets get back on track.

GO CAPS!!!!!

Re: Washington Capitals 2008-2009 ongoing thread

Big game tonight vs. one of our biggest rivals the flyers.

This will be a big game and a big challenge to keep chippin away for the #1 seed in the Eastern chase, to catch the Bees.

We need to step up and get this one at home and it won't come easy!

they were better for most of the game. 2-0 lead to a 4-2 loss sucks

The Caps are playing great...there seems to be a different star every game. Ovechkin seems to be outstanding in every game, and other players are stepping up.

flyers fan , but really like the way #8 plays. and Crosby is a douche. and Ovechkin would kill him if he wanted to

Re: Washington Capitals 2008-2009 ongoing thread

I was reading that recent SI article about the pens and it baffles me how people can still try to claim that Cindy Crosby is the best player in hockey. Is he even really the best player on this own team?

Even most pittsburgh fans can now admit that there is no way he's better than Ovechkin. Take last night's goal for example: he was getting clotheslined by his own guy and was still able to flick the puck in as he was falling backwards. The goal was sick, but since it was from Ovie it just seemed ordinary.

This year Malkin is the best player on the Pens for sure.
