big red flag for a bust. he's flat out garbage
i agree for the most part. i would not say he is garbage, but he is really a special teamer at this point and has the potential to maybe be a 4th or 5th corner, nothing more. he should be showing more potential by now and he is not.

Or, instead of T.O, we steal random PS'ers from various teams after cutting Moss, Gaffney, and Stallworthless. We also would get a higher pick and see what should stick.

Rubbing salt into the wound is what would help us land that next great WR, not trying to mend it.
I agree with you completely on this what to do with WR debate. Why bring in TO for any reason? We drafted a ton of WRs and I would much rather get them in the game.

I feel that Shanahan will make that shift if the playoffs become out of reach.

I predicted this loss today. Had a bad feeling about this game all week. While I did expect a loss, I did not expect our defense to get abused the way it did. I also did not realize just how bad our receivers are. I live in Charlotte and got tickets to the game. All of is Redskins fans, including myself, were just totally dejected by this effort. There is always next year. We suck. The fact that some people always say crap like, 'Stay positive', blah blah blah. What team are you watching. We are terrible.

For the first time all season, they gave out in all four quarters of the game. In every game leading up to today, they've either held teams to field goals (Dallas) or they've been good for shutting opponents down for almost a complete half (Giants, Rams, Eagles). They've kept us in practically every game until today.

At some point, your offense needs to take over and win the game for the team.

Well given the resources put into the defense, you'd expect them to do what they had done (keep us in games) and more.

I dont remember who here said it but someone said Beck would have the same outcome because the receivers cant catch. Man that was right on! Our receiving core is downright crap. If I didnt know better Id say some of them where dropped on purpose. Add that to Moss going out and Beck didnt stand a chance today. We look like a totally different team than before the bye week. Gano seems to be our only constant. Sad...

Resources? Bowen, Kerrigan, Otogwe (who was out today), and Wilson? Did I miss anyone? Otherwise it's the basically the same group from last year.

Yeah, the D let us down today, no doubt. But apart from the '85 Bears, the 2000 Ravens, and the '08 Steelers, in my lifetime I haven't seen a defense shut down each and every offense they face week after week. And I certainly wouldn't expect that from this defense.

There's going to be a game here and there when a geniunely good defense has a bad outing. There ought to be ONE game when the offense can pick up the slack. We haven't seen that from this bunch since week one.

So, a guy who is a lock to be worthless in 2-3 years is more worth a roster spot than an unknown guy who might or might not be useful in 2-3 years. Hence, short-term gains is more valuable to you than the future. 1-2 wins this year thanks to T.O is more important than taking a look at PS'ers around the league to see if someone will help us long term or even provide depth. Well, those two wins aren't going to do us jack shit in the future exc and who fans wish they could have taken.

Yep - our receiving threats are Moss and Davis. That's it. That's the list.

Now we're down to Davis. God help the offense if he goes down. Now it's time for all of these young bucks at wideout to step in and show us what they've got.

All those guys you mentioned are starters, so yeah that's a lot of resources. The D has let us down a lot this season, it's just been overshadowed by the sorry a$$ offense.

Only Hankerson. The rest of the young guys, Royster, Helu, Austin, Paul... They've actually shown that they can be consistent if not decent. I've got no beef with the other rookies. I dunno why you're on the guy's jock so bad.

Huh? Let's go through it game by game...

Giants, week one: Held them to 14 points, second half shut out.

Cardinals, week two: Allowed 21 points, offense bailed us out.

Dallas, week three: No TDs allowed.

Rams, week four: Gave up 10 points.

Eagles, week six: Second half shutout. Offense was good for 13 points.

Panthers, -- straw that broke the camel's back.

And I didn't go back and look at how many of those points came after a turnover by our offense. Up until today, the D is one of the few bright spots this year.
