A dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow. Keep who you can now and worry about the next guys down the road. Who knows what the situation will be a year from now. And every year teams just re-do contracts to create extra cap space. Glad Payne is here for the foreseeable future.

Ehhh, we always love to buy high and sell low. If we're going to trade him, let him play another year and drive that price up.

That being said, I don't want to trade him.

Definitely don't trade him until after this season, if at all, unless the deal is absolutely insane (which it won't be).

I'm hoping he balls out this year and he makes us extend him. He's not our best football player, but he's our best athlete for his position and he is still (chase) young.

He's from a long line of guys that just stick. He needs to change his last name to Mustard at least. Then we would have the most awesome name of a linebacker core (even tho neither would start) ever:
