Redskins observations: The deep ball is back in 2019 The Montez Sweat bandwagon continues to swell. Quinton Dunbar on the electric rookie outside linebacker: "He reminds me of a young Julius Peppers" --It's possible nobody is having a worse minicamp than Ereck Flowers. After getting manhandled by Sweat last week, Flowers, playing at the left tackle position, was picked up and moved around like a piece of unwanted furniture throughout Tuesday's drills. Ryan Anderson will look like a Pro Bowler in the film room when the tape is reviewed. The Redskins, hopefully, are coming up with starting five combinations that don't involve counting on Flowers. The day ended with a 2-minute drill, and Keenum's group had the best play of the day - a 50-yard bomb from Keenum to second-year Alabama receiver Cam Sims, who hauled it in for a touchdown Im hearing Cam Sims name a ton lately

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
I honestly don't care about Ereck Flowers, but I am not going to get my hopes up or down for any player during OTAs and mini camps.

So flowers isnt a rookie but a veteran and his first impression is play comparable to unwanted furniture tossed around. FFS, Oline and Oline depth is a very serious need coming into this season. And this is the fuckin guy the skins get in free agency? It’s pure shit. Coulda spent that money somewhere else.

The QB battle will be a good one, I think Keenum has a chip on his shoulder after Elway dumped him for Flacco

Early prediction which I've said since he got here, Flowers won't make the team.

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
IMO Flowers became irrelevant when they drafted those two rookie Guards. I can see other tackles beating him out in training camp.

Would be pretty sweet to get that few million he got just to be sitting on his ass during the season, lol.

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
IMO the skins knew SB was going to hold out that's why they've been bringing in so many tackles.

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
Jay Gruden says #Redskins QB Alex Smith will have his external fixator (the device that holds the broken bones in place) on for another month or so. The long road back continues for Smith.

I am 99.9% sure he will never play again. I just hope the guy recovers well enough to lead a normal life for a 35 year old.
