Re: Injury News: Scherff, PRichardson, and Lauvao Out for the Year

Dez is not going to impact the Saints and he wouldn't impact the Redskins. The Saints record at the end of the year will be the same if they sign Dez as it would be if they don't.

I'm more interested in Jay Gruden at this point. You can bookmark this point in the season. If he's worth his salt as a coach, he'll pull the ship into the harbor with a 9-7 record or better.

You lose your best linemen then absolutely it makes an impact. But good coaches scheme up a way. We're going to find out if Manusky can put a defensive product on the field consistently - which of course reflects on Gruden because he chose him. And we're going to find out if Gruden is creative enough to scheme a way around the offense's shortcomings.

Injuries are going to hurt you. The best coaches still find a way.

In other words if we go 4-4 in the second half of the season I'll feel very meh about Gruden (kind of like I do now).

If we go 5-3 then I'll be satisfied that we've got the right coach. If we go 3-5 or worse, then it's time to can him, because it will tell us he's too dependent on his top flight talent and will never get over the proverbial hump.

Teams have injuries , the good teams overcome them. Philly did last yr, NE always does etc. They suck to hit a team but its the NFL, it is bound to happen to everyone. Losing BS really sucks but the other guys had none to very little impact. If Trent can come back sooner that would be great. Skins just need to stay playing tough defense, we dont play a potent pass attack like NO , ATL anymore. TB has weapons but Fitz is no where near Brees or Ryan level. The stretch of Giants, Jags , Tenn and Philly will determine the season.

I already decided it is time to clean house. Gruden and the front office, scouts etc. The future is bleak, they need help almost everywhere. Even if they win 10 games, they are a mediocre team....4 easy wins in the NFC east

I'm over Gruden ( I meh on him before) but he doesn't have the fire he needs to win going away, or spark the rally when needed.

This season likely another lost hope because of these injuries.

The fact that we are 0-3 this yr after trailing just 7-0 is sad, that tells u we have no game adjustments handy and its basically on the defense to make plays and stop them from getting an early lead. Jay has shown since Sean left that he's not a great signal caller. I don't know who we would bring in but if we miss the playoffs he and BA have to go.

I don't see BA gone (and honestly I still think he runs effective interference with DS, although DS may have gotten the idea on how to really own a team)

in a minor defense of gruden, the fact that we haven't lost a lead says that he gets how to gameplan against teams strengths.

This is terrible.

This is bad ,I wish the Redskins luck .I never enjoy when players get hurt and to lose all your linemen at one time is devastating but it's time to see if the back ups can step up . Last year when the Giants lost all their receivers there were literally dragging them off the street week to week.

The Skins have a good record and with some luck should still win the division .

I think there’s decent talent here. A big part of me thinks if we can’t go 10-6 with this roster the coaches should definitely be turned over.

It’s a shame because I think the world of Tomsula and Gray. But the direction would need to be changed.

But I want to give it a chance before I jump to conclusions. There’s enough to work with and some winnable games on the schedule. Let’s see if they can pull it off.

If I was a free agent player I'd live close to Redskins Park.

3 linemen out for the season in 2 weeks, plus Trent with the thumb. Wow.
