I am a big Cousins fan , I truly believe he was as good a QB as we have ever had, yes I mean ever had but that is not on Jay or Bruce. We went out and got a good QB not great to replace him
This is all I ever got from him. I used to wish him success, but it's clear we all fell for his "aw shucks, golly guys" routine. Maybe he is a super nice guy, but in the end, it wasn't the Skins fault for what he ended up doing to them. The Skins are maybe 25% to blame for not locking him up sooner, but beyond that, it's ALL on him.

When someone invokes God in the name of contracts, that's a problem...

Re: Post Dumpster Fire...er Skins vs. Saints Thread

I've been reserved to jumping on the whole "fire Jay" bandwagon the past couple years, but I think I've finally been persuaded. It's time to get rid of Jay Gruden at the end of the season. His teams have NO discipline whatsoever and it shows every single week regardless of a win or not. Penalties. Blown assignments. It happens over and over and over. At this point, you can't say it's on the players because no matter who the players we've cycled in and out, the common denominator is Jay Gruden.

A good speech from Brian Mitchell out it...

https://twitter.com/NBCSRedskins/sta...49585310846976

Lets take a look at his record:

2014- (4-12)
2015- (9-7) *won NFCE
2016- (8-7-1)
2017- (7-9)

Look at this. Here we are in year five and the dude STILL doesn't have this team to a playoff caliber level. Let's be real here. 2015 was a fucking fluke. You know it. I know it. Jay knows it. When you win your division with a 9-7 record, it tells you that division sucks. He's produce nothing but mediocrity regardless of the players that have been here. It's time we move on from this experiment. Too bad we let McVay go, he was the guy we needed to keep.

Also, Bruce needs to fucking go right along with Jay.

I'm not saying that we have a team as talented as last year's Rams, but getting rid of Jeff Fisher was the best thing that could have happened to that team.

I think we're on the same boat in terms of coaching.

I’m actually cool with bringing in Bryant. The team is fucked anyway. Might as well.

2-14 on Monday night going back to 2008. What a shitshow.

I would much rather have had Case Keenum and kept Fuller and a 3rd rounder, I’ve seen plentyl of Smith and he’s no better than Case.

Fuller hasn't been great at all this yr either, their Offense carries that team. Alex is far better than Keenum, we cant overreact after 1 bad night

Aren’t you the one who said this was a great trade and Smith is better than Cousins? That’s over reacting.

It was a great trade considering we needed a QB. I wanted Kirk all along as I said on here a bunch but we all knew he wasn't staying. But SF who else could we have gone out and signed? Sam Bradford? We had no choice. Alex will bounce back

Smith isn’t going anywhere, we got 2 more years of this garbage. Told everyone you better have a top running game with Alex at qb...when we run the ball he is effective.

He def doesn’t have the arm talent of Cousins...if you ever believed that you are a certified idiot

Alex isn't a QB that's going to win you many shoot-outs, especially in an offense he's clearly not fully comfortable in yet and with a OL that didn't give him solid protection.

Re: Post Dumpster Fire...er Skins vs. Saints Thread

Okay so how many think we will win next game ?? I actually get on here because some of you are optimistic and actually gave me some hope ... but the ugly truth is this is not a good team much less a playoff team .. now I’m sure some will say we can win the nfc east well keep dreaming .. this team has a coach that if fired today would be fine with me! The Cleveland browns right now are in a much better place than the redskins ..but I along with you guys will still tune in and pull for team but maybe the best thing to do is walk away let it hit rock bottom with empty stands and maybe just maybe dan will fire this staff including Bruce and get a real GM to turn it around

Re: Post Dumpster Fire...er Skins vs. Saints Thread

Carolina, Dallas , NYG and ATL

All are winnable games. If we can manage to go 3-1 in that span we can set up a playoff run.. 3 of 4 at home (which means nothing) but still
