Spain has always been overrated and overhyped and they continue to choke in the WC. Don't know why everyone always jumps on their bandwagon.

I don't know if them losing to the Swiss was good or bad for my team (Chile) but as long we win, none of that should matter. The matchup next week vs the Swiss is HUGE!

You Chilean Redskins P? Does the P stand for Pinochet?

Chile looked really good today. Should have put in a few more of those chances, but definitely a good game.

I was born here, but my father is from Chile and I did a year of High School down there back in 1994. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The P definitely doesn't stand for Pinochet, lol. It stands for Pablo. My first name.

I agree. They did look really good today. The game could've easily been 3-0. But I'm satisfied with the win and 3 pts.

Yeah, I thought Chile looked like a top-tier team. I used to live in Argentina and have a ton of Chilean friends. Never met a Chilean I didn't get along with. Great people. Sorry about the Pinochet jab. Uncalled for.

Chile's win and Spain's loss made the next few games in that group much more exciting.

Congrats to Spain and their supporter SmootSmack. Let's see if they can defend at Brazil '14.

I thought that in the final, the goaltending was outstanding, whereas play on the field, especially by strikers, was considerably conservative, almost scared. Must have been the nerves.

They were gun shy for sure with all the one on one chances. I think they were playing more not to lose than to win IMO.

Ouch...huge upset. The English have to feel better about themselves.

I'm not usually one to blame the officiating. But this referee is terrible, made some horrible calls

This ref should be tarred and feathered. Just terrible. Repeatedly terrible throughout the entire match.

Vuvuzela Time! - View any website like you're at the South Africa World Cup! - Read The Warpath like you were sitting in the stands at the World Cup.

The US looked absolutely horrible in the 1st half, then for whatever reason, turned it on and decimated the Slovenian defense in the 2nd half. If it weren't for lousy refereeing, the US would be atop the Group right now. Edu has earned his way into the starting XI I think. I'm glad Bradley stepped up and played brilliantly, including a dynamite goal.

I caught the last 15-20 mins of the Germany/Serbia match. Germany looked nothing like they did against Australia. Losing Klose against Ghana could be hurtful to Germany.
