This is true.. Which presents us another reason not to make Portis #1 next season, we will need RBs who can make quick and shifty moves.. Take the game today as an example; I remember there were like three times or so where Cartwright or Ganther could have been taken down behind the scrimmage line but thanks to their shifty moves, they managed to make defender to miss tackles before the scrimmage line..

I'm not claiming to be a football expert by any means, but isn't the transition to safety easy compared to DB?

Not that easy as you think.. I played CB in my first football year but then moved over to safety at second year; it was difficult for me at first, I had to learn how to read everything.. While I was CB, all I needed to do is to cover my area or stay with the man all the way - not so difficult thing to do..

Right now, our biggest defensive issue is that our free safety wants to lay out anything that moves. I think Hall would be an excellent coverage free safety.

Rogers and Barnes at the corners in '10.

Do you think we will bring Rogers back next year?

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Saints)

I think we will if we can't get a third round pick for him on the market.

Of course, I think there's plenty of teams that will be willing to pay that price. I also think it would be a bad trade, assuming resigning him to a long-term deal is still an option. If it's not, well, it's a good price for one year of Rogers.

Of course, he will be 29 next season, so by "long-term" I mean, no more than 4 years.

Rogers (I think it was Rogers) needs to do a better job of being a blocker after Moore's INT.

Him and about two other guys.

That's a play that most other teams practice though. The Redskins were pretty clearly just winging it.

Bruce Gradkowski, too. Although, he's become more of a "former" GTripp draft diddy.

Looks like "my guys" will survive the NFL attrition game for at least one more offseason. Now, about that Leftwich guy...

-EDIT- Don't forget Chad Henne.

Hadn't heard. I've heard about Snyder yelling at Cerrato (I think after the Lions game) but hadn't heard anything about Zorn

Poor Texans...+11 in pt. differential, and now at 5-7. Of course, with the Steelers loss, they aren't quite out of it (if the Jags lose 3 of 4).

Lotta pain here in Houston. I go to a bar where there's lots of Texans fans--they've had some brutal loses since I've been down here (about 2 years). One good thing about Texans fans: they hate the cowboys.
