We may as well keep him...this is not a Brandon Lloyd situation...ARE is a contributing player here.
Because they don't understand the concept of cap hits.

Re: Which Current NFL Receiver Is Best for Us?

Oh yeah, Bernard Berrian and Ernest Wilford...forgot to mention these guys in my other posts.
Wilford is a big guy, 6'4" 218lbs (I think he's more, but he's listed at 218). I love his size, but he is nothing special...what's the point of bringing in a guy that large, when we already have one? Anthony Mix would be at worst, the same kind of player as Wilford, so to me this is a waste of money when Mix is sitting on our bench.

Berrian is 6'1", 190lbs. The hieght is average at best, and the wieght makes him a small WR. He's cut out of the same kind of mold as Moss and ARE...so why go for 3? Berrian is the perfect #2 WR behind a BIG WR. But put him with other small WR's, and he'll be useless.

ROY WILLIAMS. Big, strong, fast and young. He'd come right in here and be our #1 wr and he'd make our offense sooooooo much better. Could you imagine Roy W. paired with Santana, ARE and Cooley? With Portis in the backfield?? OK. I'll stop dreaming now.

Re: Which Current NFL Receiver Is Best for Us?

did you guys look at that link about the eagles trade offer, its funny to read all the comments eagles fan wrote about how fair the trade is, or how they shouldnt give up a4th round pick for williams. one guy called a 4th round pick (an early great pick)...crazy...we all get in our own little bubble about our teams. atleast we as redskins fans have come to learn that draft picks in the 4th are worthless, lol.

Chad Johnson:

His price tag naturally would be a concern, but his production is undenyable. The kind of player that has the ability to make others around him better. The question becomes, are you willing to put up with the excess antics in exchange for the production he'd bring.

Chad Johnson
Santana Moss
Antwan Randle El
Chris Cooley

These four would present nightmares for any defensive coordinator. My second choice would be DJ Hackett, with Roy Williams a close 3rd.

1) Larry Fitz
2) Roy Williams
3) Chad Johnson
4) Dj Hackett

I would be thrilled to get either one of these receivers, they are all game changers

When did Hackett get in this company? If the Redskins see Hackett as being anywhere near the level of CJ or Fitz then we are about to hand over one of the all time worst free agent contracts in NFL history...

Re: Which Current NFL Receiver Is Best for Us?

I picked hackett because of his connections with Zorn, but I wish there was an option of none. I really don't think we need a receiver just because Moss dropped a couple of ball in mainly just one game(GB). I think ARE, McCardell, Caldwell and Trash are fine. WCO isn't really really huge on receivers just more the QB right?

Why not spend our money on a LB, S or CB? Please someone tell me why we should waste big bucks on a receiver beside the reason "he is big and psychical"..cough..Michael Westbrook..cough cough anyone?

One game?

WR is a need because guys like McCardell, Caldwell and Thrash are probably on the way out. So at the very least we need some depth.

Outside of 2005 Moss has been disappointing and not a #1 caliber WR.

I haven't heard any rumors on Caldwell or McCardell, have you?

Also, knowing we need depth, and IMO an upgrade, do you think we'll look at Keyshawn Johnson? He has said he would interested in all 32 teams regardless if they will go 1-15 or 15-1.

Redskins are rumored to have concerns about Caldwell's knees. I'm hoping he shows he's healthy enough to stay because I think he could be quite good for us.

And we've got another thread going on Key

What about McCardell? I thought he was a great pickup.

Doesn't mean we can't talk about Keyshawn here, we are talking about which WR's to bring in.

In your version of football, who does the QB throw to? Of course WR is a huge part of the West Coast Offense..
