Agree. The biggest mistake they made was doing this on the Today Show. The entire intro to the reveal was about the racist name, scandals, and congressional investigation. IMO, that sucked the life out of it right from the start. I've seen baby gender reveals with more pizzazz and excitement than this. An underwhelming reveal from an underwhelming organization.

And not having any sort of video to make the announcement. Like I respect the hell out of Doug Williams but to simply have him go "we're the Commanders" without even any sort of intro speech or anything after this 2 years process was beyond underwhelming...

With a person in charge like Dan Snyder, why would you expect anything more. He never wanted to do this in the first place, he was forced to, so it was half assed...just like everything he's done here. Two years to plan it and execute it...and a big fail. Even if he put all this in Jason Wright's hands and this is what Jason came up with, it's still on Dan...because he made the decision to do so. This is why we are where we are with this team.

There was nothing about this to get anyone excited. IMO, if they had had an over the top announcement with lots of excitement and flash it would have got people excited just from the excitement. But when the team officials making the announcement didn't seem enthusiastic why should the fans be?

Some if you need to grow the f up .. good for Jason Wright !!! First off go Back and read your farewell post … I’m glad you are still here ! Now to address what I was saying .Jason Wright has a job to do and he did it .. He has a boss like most of us do . He did the best he could with the hand he was dealt .. I’m saying I respect him for that ..

I wanted to comment on this but waited... When Doug became the 1st black QB to win a SB it was a big deal back in 1987. A big deal. As a black man myself that played QB I had tears in my eyes when that game was over. I knew how important Doug was to a lot of people in DC even though his career here was short.

This organization through the years has used him as a pawn. They always trot him out there for PR things or to make the organization look good, but what is his role at this point? Has he ever had a prominent role in the organization? Not really. When they need him to make them look good here comes Doug. It's sad if you ask me. They know Doug's untouchable in this town and they use him because of it.

He was demoted when Ron was hired. Why? Dan could have given him the GM job many times but didn't. Instead he had Bruce Allen? Vinny Cerrato? A overrated drunk? SMH And that crap last week on Today was just awkward and sad.

As far as Wright is concerned, I'm happy when black men and women get a shot in a position of power in the NFL. However part of his job is to take the heat for the owners. I'm not buying that Jason is stupid enough to put that fucked up looking patch out there. Or those crappy uniforms. I would be willing to bet that is mostly Tayna. I doubt Dan would got that far away from the uniforms. Jason has to take the heat for that.

The over under on Jason imo is 3 years and I am taking the under. He's playing w/ snakes. And yes, Doug, Jason and Allen all tow the company line. They're all company men because that is what they get paid to do.
