Re: NFC East Champs
And most of us are aware of that but don’t wanna hear it after a win where we clinch a playoff spot after hearing from “experts” this we were going to be 2-14 at best.

So he is a bad fan for pointing out the fact that the Eagles literally handed us a victory by not kicking a chip shot fg and pulling their quarterback for Nate Sudfeld? We should just say rah rah go team go instead of reading between the lines and realizing that Alex Smith had no business being in that game? Im much more upset that our HC seemed as willing to lose the game by leaving Alex in than I am that Warthog is pointing out a major problem- which is RR’s love affair with Alex - or waiting until the last minute to pull Haskins last week. Make a God damn quarterback change if you have to. |

Yeah but fuck the talking heads. Im not going to be happy about a losing record because we were supposed to have a worse losing record. Lol. Put in a healthy quarterback not named Dwayne Haskins (thank God) and this team can make noise this year. We saw Taylor play damn well. We saw Alex not be able to move. At all. We may be trending up but I want more. We are in the playoffs. We are 0-0 like everyone else. Enough with the comeback story. The guy is not mobile. He is not healthy. I want to win a playoff game and maybe more. There is nothing wrong with pointing out the fact that Alex may not be our best option. If Taylor starts and absolutely shits the bed call on Alex again. But exhaust all options before we call it a year. Fuck next year right now. |

Re: NFC East Champs
If Hurts played all game, we still could've won. And I was confident we would've won.
But bringing in Sudfeld was a blatant forfeit. Punch made a good point in the GameDay thread, teams get screwed when top seeds rest/lose on purpose. And I agree. This was a bit different though imo, what are Eagles resting for? Specifically, Hurts needed rest? Yeah, he must've been whooped from playing in 3 or 4 games this season. Resting is for winners. Eagles are losers. Resting to try and win a SB is a bit different than clearly tanking. It took enjoyment off of us winning. And I'm probably dumb for giving af about how we made the playoffs, but the Eagles HC and/or management grinded my gears tonight.

Re: NFC East Champs
Tampa is better than us. But our team strength matches up well against Brady. The Pats lost against the Gmen due to similar things we can do. Pressure, pressure, and more pressure. And then some more pressure. Put his dick in the dirt. No more sex with Giselle.

Re: NFC East Champs
Yeah and I still don't see why they were surprised... If I was the Eagles I'd tank too. 6th overall pick or 11th? Makes a big difference TBH

Re: NFC East Champs
Not a good look for the Eagles , , there is talk of taking their #1 pick as a punishment. You can't say your #1 priority is winning and then pull your QB to see if the #3 guy is any good in a regular season game.

However, as has been discussed on this board already, and while it wasn't exactly the same scenario, the Steelers left their starting QB and their best defensive player back in Pittsburgh. If they had beaten the Browns, the Dolphins would have been in the playoffs instead of the Browns. I watched every single NFL show since last night and no one is talking about that. Unfortunately, in week 17, teams who are playing each other often have different priorities, and that is what it boiled down to. I see no way in hell the NFL takes a draft pick. The league doesn't get to tell the coaches and owners who plays and when. |

And, frankly, removing an ineffective QB midway through the 4th quarter happens all the time, not just week 17. Giants fans whining that Hurts was having a good day doesn't make it true. He was having a miserable day. QBR of 45. Generated nothing in the 2nd half. JDR made adjustments to account for his occasional successful scramble and stopped him cold after halftime. Bigger surprise to me, TBH, was that they played Hurts at all, especially in bad weather. |
