I would have made the trade, a real steal for the Raiders.

Sounds like they had to wait until Al passed away to make the deal. Al didn't like his 40 time said he was to slow.

re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
I agree, can we simply just acquire or draft a 3-4 LB. I know we have had pretty damn good success converting DEs into OLBs, but that isn't going to be the case with everybody we bring in. If we see a solid MLB from a 3-4 Skin come available, I say we draft him or snatch him up. Fletch is the man, this era's Ken Harvey, but he is only going to be playing for a couple more seasons realistically, at least in good form. That being said. Any of you guys know of any solid college LBs coming out in '12 from a 3-4 D?

Curry would have been a 4-3 SLB turning into a 3-4 OLB. You don't know if he's got that pass rushing ability many a converted DE has. We are rather "full" at the positions anyway.

He might become decent. Jarvis Moss seems to have woken up upon entering the Black Hole.

Good for the Raiders. All those years of being busts and drafting awful players and taking other teams busts; they're starting to work out for the Raiders. I don't see how you can't like this team. Except maybe that they have our ex-QB starting for them.

Hue Jackson,3rd down back, reserve guard and a few players that played at Maryland. I like the Raiders.

Re: Update: Seattle Trades LB Aaron Curry to Raiders
Aaron Curry sucks bad in pass coverage, but I can't imagine he'll cover TEs any worse than Quentin Groves or Rolando McClain does. And the Raiders run D gets better overnight as a result of this trade.
I don't know if he's worth two draft picks at this point, but really, the 7th rounder is more like a giveaway.
