Re: Positives

Yeah, the defense appears to have lost nothing in the transition to a new coordinator. Despite looking shaky at the start, they shut the Giants down in the second half. More importantly, they understood the flow of the game, consistently making drive ending stops and giving the offense a chance to get back in the game (which they of course neglected to take). You can look at the yards given up and say they could have done better, but they continued to be the bend don't break unit they were under Williams. No TD's after the first drive, excellent.

Re: Positives

Postives from the first three drives on both offense and defense thus far:

Offense:

-Portis' vision
-Heyer's run blocking
-Kendall and Samuels

Defense:

-London Fletcher
-Rocky McIntosh
-Kedric Golston
-Andre Carter

I'm guessing the secondary gets a lot better in the second half. Smoot once got beat so bad by Moss Jr that he turned and didn't even know where he went.

Re: Positives

I'm doing the rest of the game breakdown. I won't have it done tonight, so I'll push it back to this Weekend.

Umm, 1 game on a knee that wasn't 100%. Were you expecting 3 sacks?

Slow down Cochise!! He had Eli running around the field and he's not even 85%. His knee is still bothering him, I'm not a doctor, but its obvious. JT was a factor on Thursday night!!!

Re: Positives

I think if the team had played the same way as they did against Jax or Carolina, I'd be freaking out. But they adjusted, did not turn the ball over, and play decent football (not enough to catch up, but still). I hope they get their kinks fixed for the next game. I'm sure home field advantage will help.
