Absolutely, I would guess that he will get about 50 million guaranteed in the first 3 years of any deal. Structure the contract with however many years you like, 4 -7 years but he knows this is his last contract.

I think we was trying to use PM as a bargaining chip with the Rams, I just hope it doesn't backfire.

Around $20 mil a year??? Well, at least know the 'skins can focus on trading up for RGIII.

And a $25 + million signing bonus. Haven't confirmed but was told our potential offer would be around 4 years $70-75 million including a signing bonus of around $10 million

Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)

Funny because I definitely expected Peyton to command $20+ million a year (obviously assuming he's health) and believe he'd be worth every penny of it. That's only half our remaining pool of salary cap room anyway.

Fascinating how short the typical memory is IMO. Peyton almost single-handedly made the Colts a perennial SB contender. Sure there were a few yrs where the defense was respectable while Sanders, Mathis and Freeney all stayed healthy. And sure he had adequate targets to catch the ball. But we all saw what happened when you removed Manning from the equation.

...I say big-time kudos to the team that signs him.

I think if we get RG3 alot folks will be happy; we have been down the old vet road time for a new approach.

If you are Miami you just bought a big bag of worry; in regards to PM health

Re: Colts Officially Release Peyton Manning (QB Thread #11)

My problem is that I don't want 2 years of above average play and maybe see a playoff game or two. I feel that's all we'd get with PM, I mean he only got 1 ring in Indy and they had 10 years to build around him, why the hell would it be possible for him I come here and win a SB? Let's get a rookie and build a great team and dominate for years, not just for 2 and then say o shit we need a qb again, I know it's Pm, but be honest we were all stoked abou Mcnabb, George, Brunell, and they aren't manning but still I don't see him doing much better

It's actually a pretty badass scenario for Peyton in Miami. He'll face Brady twice a year and play in fantastic weather with young and hungry team.

Really Tom Brady may have something to say about that.

You know what would be more awesome then a redskins super bowl if you would leave this board and actually join a Giants board.

If anyone agrees quote me and post the word "this"
