Now it's more clear why Kyle said publicly he's "definitely" interested in exploring head coaching opportunities once Washington's season is over.

He knew RG3 would not be QB next season. I bet Kyle leaves the Skins for sure if given the opportunity.

No sense in hoping RG3 back next season at this point. Only because there is zero chance of him returning the 1st half of the season. Let him rest and heal, and he will.

We need to look forward to Kirk leading the Skins, and there is a very good possibility that we may not want RG3 back on the field if Kirk has us in 1st place when and if RG3 is ready to return. That probably does not sit to well with some of you, but it may very well be a reality.

I just don't trust the Shanahans anymore. I agree with you and I wish I didn't. Let's Draft a rookie qb, start Cousins and know that we have our franchise quarterback ready to go in 2014. We can successfully develop our offense around that concept and still be better than we have been in the last decade and a half.

We have to keep going forward. A bad thing has happened but we do still have another potential great QB in Cousins. Lots of great offensive weapons and a defense that showed tremendous heart especially in that Seattle game. Good things can still happen for the Skins. At some point we will get RG3 back, but until then we continue to go forward. As RG3 said " He, (RG3) is the best option for the Redskins" For now, Cousins is that best option.

That would be the mother of all QB controversies. I think its a very viable option. How "rusty" will RG3 be? I'm confident he'll get back in the groove fast but probably not for a game or so.

Honestly, this is the best thing that could happen. Two powerful QBs (don't trade...we need a winning back up).

Couldn't find this posted.

Kinda of a gloomy picture.
ESPN said an LCL is 4-6 months and he'll be fine but if it's acl also it's most likely 9 months but then again rivers and ad played after 8 months

What I have read is that the lcl is a longer recovery time. The other part is we are talking about an acl to go along with it. That being said it is on the same knee as before which could further complicate his recovery time.

It just sucks. Plain and simple

I get a sense you aren't the biggest RGIII fan. Or maybe you just want KC to be the guy which is fine that's your opinion. But IMO Griff will be back in 2013, and if he can't play right away I have full faith in cousins to get the job done

Agree 300%. hes gonna work his tail off like no other but we dont even know the extent or non extent of the injury lets see when we know then we can talk about return timetable. I want nothing more than #10 to be out there at some point in 2013 at 100%

Getting on Shanny for not getting him out of the game is fine and all but I almost believe that he may have torn it earlier in the game. But all of the drugs masked that pain till finally his body gave up.

By earlier I mean at some point during the final TD of the 2nd quarter.

I'm with you on this. My personal belief is that he tore it on that rollout play near the goal line in the first quarter. That's just a wild speculation.

That's when he did it, he took his helmet off while laying on the ground in pain. He quickly got up to mask the injury/ pain, you could tell he was hurting bad.
