Look, I'm sure he could have played better. Should he shoulder some of the blame? Sure. Maybe he should washed his hands more, or worn a better mask, and not contracted COVID prior to the Raiders game... but the whole team as a unit could have played better down the stretch, and Coaches could have coached better.

It's just nuts how this guy is getting all the blame for how his teams performed over his last two seasons. If you are on that wagon, you aren't looking at the whole picture.

We'll see how he does...my guess is he'll shut a lot of people up pretty quickly.
I'm always a little skeptical about these so called stats like pass blocking efficiency. Who is the source? How do they judge it? Sacks? Pressures? Was the QB was holding the ball too long?

It's PFF. I don't know exactly how they calculate their stats to compile their rankings, but I'm guessing their analysis is more reputable than anyone on here.

So our qb is a guy “who could’ve played better”.
That is always the theme with this team.

Yeah, probably. That's part of being an athlete, and these guys are the best of the best. They don't get where they are without always thinking that they could have played better, win or lose.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz

Honestly, I’d love to see Wentz carve up Jax for 400 yards and 5 tds and then turn to the cameras and say, “Sorry, what was your question?” It’s amazing, not in a good way, how quick people are to pile on to the guy who as best I can tell has been a pretty standup guy during us time in the league.

If he can get the ball to Terry, Dotson, and Samuels in space, look out.

49 yarder to Terry is something D coordinators now have to account for. No more single high safety bullshit.

With the long ball of Wentz and Terry/Samuel/Dotson it should soften up the box .. I hope.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz

I know some of you guys do not like Wentz (Not sure why) but He is in the top 5 in every passing category through 2 weeks.

Also he is the first Washington QB ever to have 7 Tds in his first 2 games.

Yeah he makes some bad decisions but the dude is pretty dang good.

Bout sums it up. Every week he's almost guaranteed to have some bad plays. I don't care as long as he plays good the rest of the time. Yesterday the first half was basically them thinking he'd have time for 5 and 7 step drops when the Lions d was overwhelming our blocking. Scott should've adjusted quicker.

Garbage time stats.

For the record, I blame the loss 100% on coaching.
They all sucked yesterday.

Lol…Jamf

Come’on Man!

Agree, the special teams were shit too. But I can’t believe how unprepared Ron, JDR and Turner were coming into the game. We knew Lions blitzed a ton…we knew this coming in, the Oline wasn’t ready for it. The defense is just a fuckin joke. These LB are horseshit.

I don't think they were garbage stats. The Lions were coming after him and sending pressure in the 2nd half. Wentz played a hell of a half. That was some really good QB play in the 2nd half. He was doing it all, also made some nice plays w/his legs. That looked like the guy from 2017.

1st half? Not sure anyone could have played well w/ the pressure the Lions were getting.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz

I really don't care about the stats, but I will have to eat some crow and give this guy some credit. He is better than I thought he was, but it is only two weeks.

I thought he was mentally shot after getting the boot by two teams but he is anything but that. He makes a few bad plays but it does not bother him one bit and he comes back and makes great plays. Can he get better with these guys he has around him? I think he can.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz

Matt Ryan's stats against the Jaguars this weekend:

16/30, 195 yards, 0 TDs, 3 INTs, sacked 5 times, 6.3 QBR

Jaguars 24
Colts 0

Totally Carson's fault they lost that game to the Jaguars in January...good thing they got rid of him so something like that doesn't happen again.
