I just thought it was interesting. If there was a point it would have been to our resident doomsayer (not you) that opening of the country will be happening and relatively soon.

This makes sense and seems reasonable how the virus has spread and where areas have/will peak.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

I am trying to play it safe, but I refuse to wear gloves and a mask in public. I went into a supermarket for the first time in 2 weeks as the mom and pop markets around me don't sell Cyrstal Light or similar drink mixes. I didn't check the TP, but it was obvious a lot of items were still being hoarded. For an early afternoon, late morning it was way more crowded than normal. I saw quite a few people almost jumping out of the way when someone got closer to six feet. It does appear the people around me are losing it.

It seems so strange to me to open a UPS package with shop supplies and spraying the things in containers with disinfectant and putting them away. Also trying to remember how long items that can't be disinfected have been here so I can stop washing my hands after I touch them.

Worse thing is it supposedly it lives 7 days on plastic. So seriously how are you supposed to handle a loaf of bread? Pretty hard to get a slice out without touching the plastic. I have just been grilling my sandwiches. No sure how much that helps.

So you wear them in private? I dont wear gloves but def wear the mask, when I get back to car I immediately put on hand sanitizer.
I think it's just gonna cause the US to shut down again with that kind of attitude,I see too many people not giving a shit, you may not care if you get it but the next guy might that you're inadvertently passing it onto, just my opinion. All the states that have started to open up are seeing the numbers go up,I fear another shutdown in the future

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

https://time.com/5825485/coronavirus-risk-factors/

Almost Every Hospitalized Coronavirus Patient Has Another Underlying Health Issue, According to a Study of New York Patients

Really good data coming out of the NY wave.

The median age of patients was 63 years old, and 94% of them had at least one comorbidity, meaning that they had at least one other disease in addition to COVID-19.

Just wow. It’s shocking as it is sad. Two crazy things has been the rapid contagious factor with the long asymptomatic spread period and how deadly it is for the elder with underlying health issue.
