Re: The Running Game

I agree with the Hightower "injury" .. he has ran different in past couple weeks .. HOWEVER .. the bottom line is freaking great .. Shanny has done it again .. he has built a team around an O-Line that can run his scheme ... Torrain was a surprise today and just looked great like he left off right from last year ... Helu is just unreal and is going to be a hell of a lot of fun to watch grow over the next few years ... It's such a great mix I'm speechless .. we can really pound the rock, Kyle just needs to know that we can keep doing that when we have a lead and shorten the game ... hmmm great defense .. solid O & D lines ... depth ... great running game .. sound like the keys to something ??? Yep, Success ... 3-1 .. go Cardinals !

Re: The Running Game

reputed redskins hatter said something in the postgame i agree with.

hightower stretches everything to the outside
helu cutbacks every chance he gets
ATV looks for the 1st cut and turns up field

it seems like with hightower, he almost always keeps stretching the play until hes on the sideline. what happened to that beautiful cutback run he had against the ravens 1st team D? helu is good no doubt but ATV seem to be just right. 1 cut turn upfield and lower the shoulder.

I thought that was a pretty accurate observation. Was good to see Torain back in action. I said last year I thought he was the best back on the team and I still feel that way.

Re: The Running Game

Offensive lines should replace running backs in fantasy football. Only give up a certain amount of sacks, you get points, give up to many sacks, loose points. Pave the way for your running back points.

+1

Would there be enough OLs to divide between among a league though?

Re: The Running Game

Torain was one of the few bright spots last year. The guy runs like he's running from the cops. Good to see him back in there.

Just saw this post. I don't think I'd go that far, but he's definitely treading a fine line with that statement.

I agree. White people can run from cops to. I'm offended by the idea that my kind couldn't run away from the cops. Don't you guys see all those cop chase shows? Driver is usually caucasion.

Well I've run from the cops before ( when I was much younger) and I'm black so no harm meant. I just love the way the guy runs the rock.

Re: The Running Game

Torrain was impressive, definately seems to be a Skins style back...I hope our FB get's well soon...imagine him power blocking for Torrain at the goalline.
I don't think Hightower can do "power rushing" the way Torrain can.

Oh yeah...after 4 games have you guys notices the dramatic improvement in the interior line?...particularly at Center?

Have you guys seen the Center pushed back 5-10 times a game this year?
The Skins addressed one of our greatest weaknesses and boy...what a difference!

addressed it in house as well. good to see. while not an injury replacement i like that "next man up" philosophy. i know rabach went back to the ravens but with birk coming back then gurode coming on and now playing guard for them, and playing it well, im not sure he will ever start again barring major injuries. in fact, he might have been cut by the ravens.

yeah, I still don't think our backup OL or brown are all that great though.

I still think we need a #1 QB, 3 OL (ALL of our backups are trash from what I know/have seen), a better #1 CB, and another ILB (for when fletcher finally quits). I like where we're at, though hasslebeck or luck or cam would look pretty nice in a skins jersey right now... no world beaters at WR, but we're good enough, have great depth, and no one's being paid obscenely, which tends to happen at WR.
