Wow!that's saying a lot
I'd be willing to take that deal in a heartbeat, but for that matter I think about anything would could get for AA might be a bonus at this point.

I get your point though, this dude isn't worth the trouble. Can't argue w/that, but a part of me wants him to make a turnaround & if it is w/the skins we'd get the sweet end of the deal.
Don't be surprised to see JJ call on him to come to dallas.
Also hate to say it, but it occurred to me this week that Springs might be interested in dallas too since his dad played there. It doesn't sound good for us restructuring w/him, maybe that's why I'm a little more interested in this Pacman thread.

I just talked to him on the phone and he said that Pacman Jones is definitely avalailable and the price to get him is dropping like a rock.

He said that the Giants were offered Jones earlier today (and Lord knows the Giants need help in the secondary) for a 2nd round pick this year and a third next year. The Giants said no.

Later, he said, after other teams had passed on any similar deals for Jones, the Giants were offered Jones for a 3rd round pick this year and a "conditional fifth" next year. The Giants still said no.

Pacman was a high pick in the first round not all that long ago. Talk about plummeting value...

Here's another reason why "character matters"...

Demonstrates just how much the Giants value their draft picks. Be nice for us to take note.

Re: Trade Value...

If we could get him for something very cheap, I'd be interested. He'd be forced into signing a contract that would be very Redskin friendly. If he ****s up, he's gone within the hour and the skins take a minimal/no cap hit.

The only problem there is that we're giving up a potential roster space for someone like say Dre Bly, for a ticking time bomb.

Re: Trade Value...

I think Pacman is going to jail. I was listening to WFAN in NY on Friday and a guy valled in who said he was a relative of the paralized shooting victim. He said there were 7 eye witnesses that saw Pacman tell the bouncer on his way out the door..."You will be dead before the night is out." He also said that Pacman was seen on camera clowning around with the shooter all night as well as slamming a girls head on the ground. There's always a chance the guy was making up or exagerating the story but he had a lot of details and got choked up during the story a couple times...he sounded pretty credible. Strip clubs are filled with cameras...they are going to be able to build much more than a he said she said case against him and his thug buddies. So why would anyone give up draft picks for a guy who may never play in the league again?

PacMan is such a total loser....the poster child of how the NFL is turning into a league of punks and thugs.

He gives a bad name to the great video games/cartoons of the '80s plus the many good guys that do exist in the NFL.

There are undoubtedly many great guys in the NFL who donate their money and/or time to good causes, don't get into trouble, and are generally "good people." My only point was that the number of players who are getting in trouble with the law and generally act like little wannabe gangsters seems to be growing to unacceptable levels.

Re: Trade Value...

How can this guy be clear of trouble if he came and left with a man who had just shot three people, one who will be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, football player or not he should be an accessory to attempted murder. Right?

Anyone else see the flaw here? If it were you or me wouldn't we getr charged?
