If Rypien is there when they pick in the 2nd round they shouldn't hesitate to take him....mostly draft analysts will have him protected as a 3rd-5th round pick...but NFL front offices could have him rated higher than that.

Yes......I've said this many times...running QBs always get hurt..it hasn't happened to Russell Wilson because he's been very lucky.....I like Murray's game but he's too light in the ass.....besides he'll be off the board by the time the Redskins pick and trading up is not an option since it will show that the Redskins haven't learned anything from the entire RG3 experiment....Rypien in my estimation is the sleeper QB of this draft.

I love the idea, as everybody knows picking the son of a good player typically means that player will be great too.

/sarcasm, in case it wasn't obvious.

I'd rather we forget his last name and judge him by his merits as a quarterback.

Thanks for the clarification. This changes nothing about my statement, other than "relative" for son.

Re: What are the chances that the Redskins will draft Brett Rypien ?

I get it, hes a rypien but that means nothing. Does he have a shot at being a good QB? Sure but to say you'd take a projected 4 round QB or 5th over the potential #1 overall pick is pretty crazy guys. Kyler Murray can make all the throws, he's just been bashed for his height but his OL was NFL size last year and he did just fine. He's very accurate and he can move like vick could. Someone is getting a franchise QB with him, especially now that he is committed to football. Jones is the 2nd best QB and yes he's better than rypien as well.

Please don't get Murray. I want a young 6-2+ drop back QB.

If we somehow end up with Murray, he is clearly the best QB in the draft. And all the other teams are stupid.
