Re: Just want to give Andre Carter props
Always liked AC & thought he grew as a run-stopper here, always was a good pass rusher. Too bad he & Jarmon couldn't make the transition. I wish rosters were bigger & guys like AC could stay in a backup role. He can't play OLB but he could be a situational DE in nickel.

LOL, don't ask Haynesworth about his respectful treatment, or Rogers for that matter. |

I am not sure about Rogers, I think that he was given every opportunity, but he saw his worth as far more than the Redskins did. Remember that we are not discussing VC's/DS treatment of players, but BA and MS. Was he bad mouthed, or held hostage here by them? |

Re: Just want to give Andre Carter props
Haha, well just proves my point. Actually looking to move out there at some point so I guess it was just a subliminal thought.

Re: Just want to give Andre Carter props
it's hard not to give respect to a player when it's blatantly obvious they give it they're all whether they fit in a system or not. On the other hand it's very hard to give respect to a player that tiptoes around work because "he doesn't wanna play that way."
May our future be filled with many Andre Carters and far fewer Albert Haynesworths. Rogers was ready to go before Shanahan even got here and once he realized that he wasn't thought of as highly by ShanAllen as he thought he should of been, he felt disrespected.

Re: Just want to give Andre Carter props
AC did nothing but get with the program while he was here. Too bad AH didn't have the same attitude. AC is a team player...can't get enough players like that.

Re: Just want to give Andre Carter props
Casey Rabach could have used a thread like this instead of the TON of hate he received for his retirement party.

Rabach retired? and Rabach was a case of, no longer good and getting pushed around. Carter was good but didn't fit the system.

Re: Just want to give Andre Carter props
The only players that get love when they retire are players that actually contributed over a period of several years. Rabach's leaving was about 3 years overdue, so our lasting memory of him will be how he was overmatched physically. Mentally he was smart, but mental smarts only get you so far in this league.
