Re: What number will Duckett wear?

I was glad to hear that the # issue to Duckett as he said will not be an issue. As large as he is and runs he def. needs a # in the 40's I will put my chips on red44

I should have trusted my instinct. Thats weird cuz I ordered a Bettis Notre Dame jersey for my friend this past summer and all the times he's worn steelers bettis jersey's I coulda sworn it was 39, maybe I do. How sweet is that we have a Bettis/Parker/Duce in our backs now.

Re: What number will Duckett wear?

#42 should be shelved like #81 & #43 and all the "unofficially retired" numbers. That will forever be Charlie's number. It is hard for us older guys because we remember the greats that wore numers like 42 and 55 and feel they should be honored too. I know there are only so many numbers to go around but Charlie was a true great, classy Redskin. Does anyone know what numbers are on the "unofficially retired" numbers list?

I'm not a fan of this unofficially retired stuff.

Either retire the number or don't.

Actually I think they should just honor the numbers but still allow them to be worn.

Retiring numbers is overrated to me.

I think our unofficially retired numbers are 7, 9, 28, 42, 43, 44, 81, am I missing anyone?

Sammy Baughs #33? Mark Mosely's # 3?

Baugh is the only officially retired #, that's why I didn't include him.

Jeff George wore #3 a few years ago. I don't think that's untouchable.
