Quote: Even with them knowing what was coming we still moved the ball on them. it is a game of momentum, if RG3 hits Paulsen on that opening drive and we score a TD to go up 7-0, it would have been a totally different game.

This team is the same in Week 11 as it was in Week 5, the last time they played on the road in the division. They lost yesterday because they haven't improved any, despite being pretty healthy that whole timeframe.

Either way, we didn't lose because the eagles knew our plays, we lost because of execution of those plays.

Which was predictable given the significant free agent losses after the Super Bowl and Pitta going on IR before the season. They've had occasional down cycles before, but never for long, because Ozzy has drafted so well over the years. I admire their stability. We seem to have constant drama here.

YOU need to watch the "tape" again man. Paulson cut out and never made a cut up field. Paulson had actually turned and looked at RG before the pass was released. That play was a straight up bad pass by Griff any which way you cut it up. All he had to do was lead Paulson to the sideline, instead he threw an inaccurate pass upfield. If anything Paulson slowed up a bit to let RG lead him w the pass since the field was so wide open.

Paulsen definitely hesitated a bit on the route. I think it was a miscommunication more than anything.

Kyle is ultimately responsible for putting together one of the weakest passing attacks the Redskins have seen in years (it looks even worse if you look at the last four years as a whole). No way around that. The passing game was his calling card when he came here. But on the predictability discussion, I think we should be very careful not to vilify the guy for the way he has tried to handle this specific situation. The Redskins are pretty predictable. The Cowboys had a good film read on us in Week 5, the Broncos had a good film read on us in Week 7 and obviously the Eagles yesterday. But some of the predictability is not having players who are either smart or experienced enough to handle more being put on their plates. The team's refusal to acquire players with the 'high football IQ' is a big reason they are stuck looking the same every week. There are really smart people on this team. Fletcher is really smart. Amerson and Hall are both pretty sharp. Jordan Reed. Griffin. But overall, the roster does seem to suffer from being a bit slow witted and over-emotional. And the coaches who aren't responsible for talent acquisition do have to work around this problem.

By the way, did anyone see Marc Trestman's explanation to the media of his (somewhat insignificant) decision to not use his timeouts against Baltimore at the end of the fourth quarter? Trestman explains why he did not call time out during Ravens' drive at end of regulation - chicagotribune.com Speaking as someone who would have used the timeouts both prior to and after that explanation, all I can say is I wish we had that guy on our coaching staff. Would really do wonders for explaining all the nonsensical things our coaching staff does.
