Todd Bowles should have gotten the MVP I was really surprised the emotional embarrassment of the Chiefs falling apart on the field. Chris Jones, Honey badger and t hill...all acted little pussies, crying like little bitches. Eric Beinemy was throughly out coached...I’m so sick of the media crying how he is entitled to HC job. He’s not folk...get over it. To see Brady and Gronk dominate seemed appropriate. Todd Bowles is one hell of a def coach. Folks Tony Romo sucks...the most overrated trash broadcaster

I can't help wondering how it would have gone had Fisher not been injured. The Buccs publicly humiliated his replacement. And I suspect Beinemy trusted Mahomes mobility far too much by not having a back stay in for added protection. Buccs kept rushing just 3 or 4 and getting pressure so they had extra coverage available. No adjustment from the Chief's, just kept trying the same stuff on O.

Brady will get most of the credit but the game was clearly won in the trenches. TB dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball..

Chiefs had no answer for protecting their tackles once they had to move guys around to replace LT Fisher. You really do need AT LEAST 3 starting caliber Ts on your team bc injuries are guaranteed. They dont need to be all pros but youd better have a Cornelius Lucas type guy as your swing tackle. That high powered offense couldnt run with the piss poor pass pro. Wasnt the most boring Super Bowl to watch but it wasnt a good game either. |

I don't complain about Brady, 3 TDs and basically a perfect performance, but the Bucs D was the MVP.

Stoping the Run and running the ball is still a winning formula The referee talk is loser talk

KC lost that game in the 1st qtr when it was so obvious they couldn't protect Mahomes. But the officiating ensured it was all over by half time. It's the biggest game of the season, one the NFL wants to be a showcase; the officiating shouldn't get a mention except to compliment how good it is. Not the case last night.

Tampa Bay played old school smash mouth football when they needed to.... The power running game with Fournette (#1 rusher in playoffs by a long shot) and their very strong offensive line helped Brady out immensely. The O-line also did a great job of protecting Brady. Tampa's defense was #1 in the NFL regular season in only giving up just 3.6 yards per carry. They recreated the old NFL recipe for success in the Playoffs, run the ball and stop the run. Back to basics, they ran the ball and ran short screens to slow down the KC blitzing. Then they could throw. it was not the other way around. Tampa defense also led all teams in post season with 10 sacks and 7 interceptions. Tampa just plain and simple physically beat up a smaller and weaker team. KC drafting small speedy skill position guys the last few years caught up to them. Got to have the horses up front. Last edited by Defensewins; 02-08-2021 at 10:56 AM.

One play in particular, Bucs show blitz and bring blitz, Mahomes throws a hot route to WR Hardman on the outside who never turned to look at the ball and it basically hit him unaware bc he never realized it was a hot route situation. Does Mahomes have to call out hot route or do you expect your QB and WR to be on the same page non verbally. They refused to adjust. They keep calling 5 step medium to long developing pass plays, rarely helping that LT bc your TE Kelce was always a down field route runner. Also ... I understand Mahomes was under pressure .. but you cant be running 20 yards backwards every time you feel pressure.
