I don't know why we'd need one, but we can always get one late in the draft or pick up an UDFA.

I see RT as a must to protect both ends, then start working on the interior.

Vick Ballard of Mississippi State and Edwin Baker of Michigan State grade out similarly to Helu. Decent vision, good speed, similar pre-draft grade.

Obviously Shanahan might not be looking for the next Roy Helu exactly but those two seem like candidates.

Other mid-round guys to look out for due to above average vision and one-cut run ability:

Chris Rainey - Florida

Ronnie Hillman - San Diego State

Lennon Creer - Louisiana Tech

And the highest rated vision among potential Shanahan Backs

Tauren Poole - Tennessee

Underrated natural instincts as a runner. The more we study him the more impressed we are with his vision and feel. Has a good sense for penetration and knows when to change directions in the backfield. Feels the cutback lane opening and shows consistent ability to exploit it. Is patient and will let his blocks develop, but he's also a decisive runner that always seems to be working to get north. "

The following backs all are reported to have very good vision but are considered a risk to go undrafted. All are falling due to durability concerns. Shanahan has picked guys graded in this range before (Royster and Torain)

Jonas Gray - Notre Dame

Jeff Demps - Florida

Jewel Hampton - Southern Illinois

Bryce Brown - Kansas State

In short anyone from Florida should make us happy as should a certain back from Tennessee.
