Anyone play the new Twisted Metal? I loved that game growing up.

Is Mass Effect a RPG? I try the first one it was boring and hard to play.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
The series has become a nice combination of RPG and 3rd person shooter and the Kinect voice controls are amazing. Finally yelling at my tv has a purpose.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I just hope they fix the frame rate drops on the PS3 version. Haven't been this excited about a game in a while. Very few games can strike the type of balance you see in Mass Effect. It's linear enough that it provides a great story but not so linear that you can't explore and do your own thing.

Was two better then 3? Do you have to play them in order? Are they RPG?

If you get the chance I would recommend playing them in order but in all honesty the first one can get pretty boring at times, plus the graphics make it look a little dated but if you stick with it it's a very satisfying game and even despite it's drops in action at certain points not to hard to get through unlike a game like Fallout. Second one is easier to get into as it's much more streamlined then the first and it has a very good story. The game gives you the option to import your character from the previous version or select the choices you made in previous games via a comic that activates before you customize your character. Another thing I like about it is the difficulty allows people like me who care more about the story to breeze through the combat while giving hardcore players the option to make it challenging. And the best selling point for Mass Effect......side boob.
