Nook Tablet Opinions Wanted

For tablets in that price range you won't find anything better than the Nook. It has a slightly better feature set (better browser, battery life, sd card slot which you will need to buy because they reserve 15 of the 16 gig internal drive for nook app store bought content) than the Kindle Fire but the Fire has it beat with their market app.

So is there something much better thats not a ton more? That's just the one she picked but if there is one for $100 more that's worth the extra money then I'd go with something else.

There was one that went for about 100 more that was on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday but you missed it. Best Buy had this for 229 bucks and they sold out. If they ever get more in stock I doubt they will be priced at 229 and being available for xmass delivery so I wouldn't hold my breath. Go with the Nook before they sell out and pocket that extra 100 for your rainy day beer fund.

This. We went with fire and love it. I an sure the nook is a great product too
