Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Yeah it wouldn't be a bad move to allow him to continue trying out the FS position. Champ Bailey might be an idea too depending how his tackling is.. haven't watched Denver at all really this year.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Think it would be possible for a Barnes / Landry combo? God knows Barnes HAS to be an upgrade over Doughty.

Being a corner, he sure can at least cover better.

Doughty reminds me of good ol' Archuleta.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Yeah but Doughty is an actual back up/special teams player and we didn't play an arm and a leg for him.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Well I'd like to have him as a FS instead of Moore. Doughty is a back up SS and that's it. It'd be nice to have Barnes develop into a true FS with good coverage skills. I think he tackles pretty well.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
It looks like that might work. I want to see Barnes challenged on picking up routes deep; haven't finished the Jags game yet with how work has been this week. He seems to know where to be and if he could arrive there a bit earlier he could really make some more plays rather than just stops at the point of impact. Part of that will be more experience at the position and more studying of the role. Of course with our offseason CB situation(s) he may be forced back into one of those roles, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. We're going to have to replace at least one S and CB

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Barnes has looked good the last 2 weeks, especially today and playing S instead of CB.
