I can see where you're coming from with this, however, saying "the guy wasn't even looking" is garbage. One of the first things every defensive players learns is to keep your head on a swivel. Know where you are and what's coming at you, the defender didn't and that's why he wasn't looking. That's not good football.

I think that's the problem I have with all the new rules about illegal blocks. If defenders were doing what they're supposed to do, they wouldn't get blown up so much. I don't care if a hit's coming from the blindside, they should have been looking around and known what was coming at them.
