Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
Well, it just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover. Because Chad Johnson is loud and brash, it's assumed he's some sort of a-hole. And even though he's never been arrested, charged, suspected of any crime or misdemeanor many woudn't be surprised if this story was about him. Because Marvin Harrison is quiet and professional (even though he apparently almost never joins the team for film sessions and rarely goes into the huddle) it's assumed he's some sort of saint who could never possibly be guilty of such a crime.
Now I'm not saying he is, just saying let's not make assumptions.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
Harrison always reminded me of a modern day Art Monk. Just a quiet and reserved person.
If he is guilty, I will be disappointed. Always felt he was different, but looks like I may have been wrong. The NFL needs more Darrell Green's and Art Monk's. |

ESPN - Agent says Harrison not involved in reported shooting - NFL
Agent says Harrison not involved in reported shooting Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison's agent says reports that Harrison is under investigation in his hometown of Philadelphia in connection with a shooting this week are untrue. A shooting took place Tuesday near Harrison's North Philadelphia bar, a source told Anthony Gargano of Philadelphia's WIP Radio. Harrison's agent, Tom Condon, told ESPN's Chris Mortensen: "I've spoken with Marvin and I've spoken with his attorney, and they say the reports are erroneous. Marvin was not involved in any shooting, and he is not the subject of this investigation." Condon declined to answer any other questions.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
For what it's worth, one of the confirmed "facts" of the case according to witnesses is he beat up a guy using "ninja hands" (not even joking as thats what witenesses were reported saying). The good news is that apparently the guy he beat up was an ex-con who served time for murder, but thats only speculation.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
I honestly am not sure if this really is out of character for Harrison. Who here or really anywhere else outside of Harrison's immediate family and close friends is to say that that is out of character for Marvin? Just because he is quite and reserved in front of the camera doesen't mean he can't mess up.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting
Quote:
There was one episode just a few years ago that does not lend credence to Harrison being the quiet unasuming professional. If memory serves me correctly, there was a story about him reacting violently to a group of teen-agers seeking his autograph. It was noted his character at that time was considered to be out of the ordinary for him as well. As someone previously stated, the details of this case are sketchy at best, but Harrison may still have some explaining to do. If it has been determined the gun that fired the shots came from a weapon belonging to him, he stated to police the gun never leaves his home but was found in a trash can at the car-wash he owns, something is amiss. |
