He had a good year, but he certainly doesn't deserve to go over Chad Pennington, who in my opinion was the main difference between the 4-12 2005 team and the 10-6 2006 team.

Chad Pennington 313/485 64.5% 3352 yards 6.9 yards/att 17 TDs 16 INTs

Vince Young 184/357 51.5% 2199 yards 6.2 yards/att 12 TD 13 INTs

The probowl selection process is becoming laughable.
They are opposite types of QB's.

Your stats are misleading because you ommited some important game winning stats/ TD's.

Vince Young had 19 TD's and 13 INT's. He also rushed for 552 yards at 6.7 yards per carry and 7 TD's. Why are going to deny Young's 7 rushing td's, because QB's should only be judged by their passing game? He did earn those TD's. Qb's are allowed to run and it is a nice weapon to have, Steve Young had a great career as a mobile QB.

If you add in ALL of their accomplishments in 2006:

C. Pennington had a TOTAL of 17 TD's & 16 INT's & 109 yds rushing

Vince Young had a TOTAL of 19 TD's & 13 INT's & 552 yds rushing

Plus add that Pennington played in three more games than Young and that Young is a rookie. IMO Advantage : Young

The fact that you're a rookie has nothing to do with the pro bowl. Vince Young made it over Tom Brady too. No way that should have happened.

Well, I only gave the passing stats, and although its true that Vince Young does stuff with his legs that helps the Titans win (and you do have to consider this in player eval), Chad Pennington is still the far, far superior QB. At least he was this year. The difference in their completion % is 13%! Vince Young helped win some games, but he was a poor passer which is something you'd expect from a rookie. Not pro bowl caliber.

It's fine to count rushing TDs, but then I think all rushing TDs by any player on the team should be counted.
